  1. This is not mine,I'm just passing this along.I saw it listed at GATR,the new Mack/Volvo dealer in Cedar Rapids,IA This truck was restored by a friend of mine, former F&W Mack owner Tom Farland to honor his town's school athletic team, the Fredericksburg Falcons, and in particular the star girl athlete Brianne, been alot of years ago, cant remember her last name, He taught her how to drive it and she ran it through the homecoming parade her senior year. The contact info listed is : Alan Strickler,Used Truck Manager 800-747-1130 ext.7950 cell# 641-751-1126
  2. I love that A54 sleeper cab. Here is my poor old wrecked A50 My ex- Stang Tank lines A54 my best A54,this one spent 30 + years hiding in a basement
  3. looks like it needs alot of loving to me
  4. Many, many AC's were repowered through the years so they could keep working.Which would be worse,an original engine that didn't run or a refit that ran so you could get out and drive and enjoy the truck???
  5. Oldest I have is a '48 LJ with the TRD150.Those old ones had a weird shift pattern on the main box,.first was clear over to the right and up,2nd was to the far left and up,3rd straight down,4th to the center and back,5th(OD) straight up to the dash.Reverse was straight down from 1st.
  6. yep that's it.I almost had that truck bought once.It had been traded at Milwaukee Mack,I called about it and was told that it's sale was being held up pending them getting previous owner happy, seems he traded it in on a Vision, had touble and wanted his old truck back.Sometime later the salesman called me back, said the truck was again available. He was about halfway thru sending me an extensive set of pics, when he called and said another salesman just sold it.I was kinda pissed, but was 300 miles away,so not much I could do.Awhile later,it shows up in some trader mag at a Pete dealer,I called but was told it was already sold, which I found out later from Stan wasn't true, they had consigned it to an upcoming auction and Stan bought it there
  7. I'd bet it's the 285. I'm going to be gone all day tomorrow, call me Sunday.
  8. I did find that front Loadstar headlight panel today,it's for the left side.
  9. I'm pretty sure the GMC General/Chevy Bison was introduced in '77.
  10. Before you do that, you should look over the gutted out '76 I have up here.between it and that '79 you could make a nice sleeper F.I'd even take the Western in on trade.I wouldn't put a Triplex in it.Save that for your '66. you 100% sure it's a 300+?Very unusual it would have a 5 speed.
  11. Followed this guy up 61 for a ways the other day.Managed to quit laughing long enough to get a pic.Maybe someday he can play with the big trucks.
  12. Last time my wife and I went to Des Moines,we were cruising down 80 in the hammer lane running about 78 when up ahead, one Swift started passing another.one musta had his cruise on 58,the other 58.5,talk about a rolling roadblock.
  13. The Mack dealer did the one on the '07 Rawhide Mikey wrecked, they had to tear half the motor apart it seamed to get to it,ended up costing me about $1000,mostly labor,I wasn't too happy at all.
  14. bet you are missing the CH something awful, aren't you???
  15. I was out digging thru one of my storage trailers today looking for some parts, trying to get some stuff rounded up I'm way behind getting found, and I managed to fall thru the floor..Took awhile to get my leg worked up out of the hole,as my foot got tangled up in the wires and air lines under the floor, but I finally got out, didn't break anything, but skinned & bruised hell out of my left leg. I knew the floor was marginal, but didn't realize it had gotten that bad,so I'm going to start cleaning it out to either patch the floor or junk it.So I'm going to be getting rid of alot more stuff, just listed a bunch of NOS F model stuff, there's going to be lots more.
  16. I have the following NOS F model parts for sale, some surface rust and dings from storage, but all NOS sheet metal. R & L front fender/headlight panels 3 headlight panel inner trim 2 RH fenders 1 passenger storage compartment door 1 Western F fender step Will sell as one package or piece by piece
