  1. Found it,May 24,2001.The Transtar 400 is on the back,with a CO190 cab on top of it,also the front half of a R190,and a Detroit 4-71 powered Ford F350.
  2. a bigger pic would help, but lookslike an A or E model sleeper cab.
  3. I recognize the red one next to the IH 400,Bruce Thompson owned it for awhile.Musta been took when his son Jerry still owned the IH.The IH was an Iowa truck,ex-Ruan,318 with a 2 stick 4x4,Jerry bought it from my late friend Mike Pagel,I've got a pic somewhere of when I delivered it to Jerry.
  4. That flatbed truck looks damn solid. Was someone fixing it up and lost interest?Cool pic of the wrecker, good luck and keep us posted.
  5. even with a rusty cab,it had alot of favorable features,1 it was a '66 last year built, bumper looked perfect, and I'd bet it was aluminum, nice alum. round tanks, hood looked nice, anyone that's been around B-73's and B-75's know how hard it is to find a hood that's decent,13 speed double over Triplex is a nice feature, probably a turbo'd 711,radiator looked real nice.I'd say whoever bought it did OK.
  6. it's a wet snow too, temp is right at 33 ,supposed to be in the 50's and rain by the weekend
  7. Getting hit hard again with snow, damn winter just don't want to give up.The elevator I haul for called early and said stay put, they weren't loading any trucks today.Guess I get to try out my new to me Case skidloader later.
  8. I was thinking I'd seen Wooster mentioned in here before too,Ken.Maybe whoever got it hasn't told his wife yet.
  9. must not have been anyone in here, surely they woulda been bragging by now.Sounds like it sold pretty good,I was guessing in the $4k range.
  10. Happy birthday,Morgan. How you getting along on the Superliner??
  11. yes it will work, you'll just have alot lower reverse. The one I had, most of the time I would use hi range when backing because lo range was just too damn slow,it was great for backing a load uphill though.
  12. There was a 285 hp version on the ENDT865 anda 350 hp version of the ENDT866 also, the predecessor to the E9 was the ENDT1005
  13. For somebody that's not that good of a writer, that looked pretty good to me.That story would be good for almost 1 chapter alone.
  14. Now that's a sweet Superliner.looks just right with that wheelbase and the small bunk.
  15. Ron, You should write a book about the history of your family's business and the info on all the different trucks.
  16. I've had to run alot of different tractors over the years, because in this area, trucker also means "free partime labor" to the farmers.I never could get used to the hand clutch on those JD's.I like my Farmalls a whole lot better.
  17. I hope it went high or I'm gonna be pissed.I was going to phone in a bid and I forgot all about it being Sat.
  18. I can definately understand why anyone driving a Volvo would want to carry along emergency transportation.I'm surprised it isn't factory installed.
  19. Still gas powered too, rare as hell. You going to KC again this coming weekend?
  20. that pic is cool as hell,Al. Everytime I see a H61 I kick myself for not buying that one at Broderick's.
