  1. I don't know where it ended up,but I sure do miss restorations like that.He started with alot less than most any more call a parts truck, just a cab & frame.
  2. was this the same auction that had the Cruiseliner and MH?If so,what did they bring?

  4. did Mike ever get his sleeper cab B home from TX?
  5. the movie itself is pretty lame, but Moonfire has some great Mack footage, beautiful blue RS700 with a Mercury sleeper and a real nice FS700 V8 powered single axle. Smokey & the Bandit II is pretty good, too.
  6. From the looks of that yellow Superliner that Ray posted, how could you say it could get treated any worse????Like I said earlier, there's just as many Macks get abused and neglected over here, and for more stupid reasons to boot.Do you know how many times I've heard "it's just a damn Mack" ?????? You need to open your eyes and ears a little more, and think real hard about things.
  7. fair, they have a little rust and the Mack decal is faded and starting to peel off one,I'm sure you could find better

  13. That's a decent price,with all the extras,I think.From what I hear,scraps alot higher out your way than here.Hear you'd get about $1800 for all that.Try offering him $2000.
  14. That is nice, the sleeper is different than the few other sleeper cabs I've seen.Good luck with it and keep us posted.
  15. Thats a nice blue Diamond Reo,wonder if the owner is related to the late Charlie Cantwell, for IN,he was a big Diamond T guy.
  16. I saw it at the ATHS convention at Hutchinson,KS,it had a 325 Maxidyne V8,with a TRDL1070A 10 speed behind it.He also had a W900A KW pickup at that show.I do remember seeing his B model too,it black with flames.
  17. Thanks Matt,I could not think of Bob's name for nothing and I'd forgot he had his sale before he passed, damn CRS,anyway.
  18. Damn that's a nice G.
  19. I thought I saved a pic,but couldn't find it,anyone remember what post it was in?

  21. The very early Maxidynes had a gold base.
  22. you holding something out on us Doug?? W-71's going to start popping up out of the weeds?I always thought there should be more of them around than what there seems to be.Here's the ones I know of still in existance within the last 5 years. 1. Dan Thomas' restored green sleeper cab 2. Dr. Bill's old blue one 3. Bill Reasoner's old one, restored yellow sleeper cab ,don't know who owns it now 4. My unrestored single axle non-sleeper 5. the unrestored one at the diesel shop in MN 6. unrestored blue non-sleeper tandem, belongs to a guy in WA?He's a member of the Yahoo cabover Mack group, real nice truck 7. one in NM,guy's name is Don something 8. front half of a non-sleeper cab, sold at an estate sale a few years back,CRS won't let me think of his name right now, don't know where it went 9. the one in the pic on the trailer Anyone else know of any others or can add more info to the ones I've listed??
