  1. you're a damn fool if you don't buy that, forget about this MH up here.
  2. That trailer looks like an American, they've been out of business quite awhile so no doubt it had some age on it.
  3. Ditto what ken said, the straps should be available in SS or painted from Mack.
  4. sorry to hear of your new assignment. That's probably the one main reason I'm an owner/operator,so nobody tells me what I have to drive.
  5. L stands for light weight, they have an aluminum bell housing, some had aluminum valve covers
  6. I wonder if that was a B422 with a misstamped VIN tag? With a serial # of 18937,that's a pretty high build for something that until now, most of us have never heard of or seen.It would be interesting to see the frame stamp.
  7. That makes my back hurt just looking at it.Look were the rivets have been replaced above the left headlight, those were bad about popping the rivets there.
  8. Thats a B61 and been for sale for along time, been on ebay and craigslist.Gotta give the guy credit for still trying and not letting it get scrapped.
  9. I think the 10 speed will work good for what you want, too.Just make sure it's not one of the early splitter 10 speeds, think they were called TRDL107's because they were direct and you won't gain anything but extra gears.
  10. on the A and E models,it was stamped at the rear of the frame, not up front by the front wheel, most of the time on the right side(have seen it on left side too) around the rear spring hanger towards the top of the rail, this was a bad spot because it was often covered or chopped off with modifications to the frame
  11. I was guessing 6:34's assuming he had tall rubber, said his top speed was 55
  12. what would really be ideal with your set up would be one of the old air shift 7 speeds, not a T2070,I can't think of the model # right now,but they were an .78 overdrive, you split the top 2 gears, but they also had reverse on the knob so you had 5 reverse gears, like a 6 or 12 speed. They are pretty hard to find. If you aren't worried about staying all Mack,a cheap way to go would be a RTO12513,with the 1241 behind it you'd have all kind of gears to use,I'm not up on my Fuller's but I think they have a .86 overdrive
  13. nice paint job, would have looked perfect with a nice 36" Able bunk.
  14. the 2050 has a .60 overdrive, where you have none in the main box now,I think that would be too much of a step up,I think I'd look for something like a 10 speed T2100 which has a .77 overdrive, they don't have as good of lo hole, but with the 1241 behind it,you should be OK.
  15. if you can't find any closer,I've got several,20 and 22".
  16. only way that old girl would be any cooler is if it had the radiator access door under the Bulldog.
  17. If it was given to them, tell them they should pass along the generosity and give it to me.
  18. Anyone needing new vents for their Able Body sleepers, etrailer.com has replacements available in either steel or aluminum. These look to be identical to the originals,I just bought 3 pair to replace some rusted out ones, price is very reasonable, and very fast service.
  19. don't remember where or who,but it's a recabbed Mack NO prime mover from WWII
