  1. nothing more fun to have than a wrecker, especially a B model wrecker.I don't know what you gave for that truck, but if those are all high test wrecker chain, you've got a small fortune in those and the snatch blocks.
  2. I've seen repop grilles go for $1000+,a NOS one could go for way more,I let a really nice used one go for $750 about 10 years ago and I wish now I would have kept it,got a NOS one tucked away that I'm not going to make the same mistake on.,good used fenders $150 to $500 depending on how good, inner fenders,$75 to $125 depending on how good, just plain door glass wouldn't amount to much,$50 to $80 maybe,hood,$100 to 300 depending on condition
  3. Why in the world would any right thinking person say something so slanderous about this Superliner????????????????? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mack-Superliner-looks-like-Peterbuilt-Kenworth-/321048691204?pt=Commercial_Trucks&hash=item4abffe4204#ht_500wt_1182

  7. yep,a pretty rare find.
  8. looks like frame primer to me,too.
  9. Send me a reminder,Al,it I'm free I might just make a road trip.
  10. I'd say your best bet is to pull it and have it repaired.I broke a motor mount on my '74 F model when I was still running it,of course no new to be found.Blocked up the motor and took it out,had a local machine shop/welder fix it better than new very reasonable.
  11. Vinny, what am I going to do with you, slacking on your studies. 10661 EQ's built from '37 to '50.Not exactly a low production, but not many around either.
  12. I just updated the list, the ones that are gone forever are marked RIP.
  13. It's safe for now,One truck out of the whole list I did sell to a member in here.I thought I had 3 others sold, but when it came down to the real part, different story.Anyway, the blizzard we got really screwed up my plans of getting stuff out,got 5 loads hauled for now, rest is going to have to wait till it melts.
  14. $235/ton
  15. you are right,I totally missed the lack of turbo,I was just repeating the specs listed, unless he mounted the turbo somewhere else,LOL.
  16. Saw this on the Big Iron auction site, still scratching my head.1970 DM487,repowered with a NTC290 Cummins,13 speed with a 3 speed Brownie. Lots more pics on the auction listing, current bid was only $410. Gotta love the bumper.
  17. You'll have to call and check, got a couple different Xmas parties at the in-laws this weekend, just depends on when you pass thru..Highways are fine, gravel roads still shitty in spots.Supposed to get some more snow this weekend, but don't think it's supposed to be much.
  18. There ain't nothing I like better than a set of sticks, but that looks to me like it would get annoying damn fast.I bet that guy couldn't drive a real set to save his ass.
  19. They want 10k for it though.I called about it awhile back.
  20. I've seen 3406's with Mack 12 speeds.There's a Superliner in WI for sale on Truckpaper that has a 12 speed behind a 8V92
  21. I learned to drive on my Grandpa's '67 C750,it had a 18 ft. livestock body on it.You never knew where 4th gear was going to be.The shift linkage in those left a little to be desired once they got some age on them.
  22. 722 would be correct for the E9440. I've never seen any spec books that listed the 3408 Cat.
  23. Camelback overrated??????????Go wash your mouth out with soap and sit in the corner .
  24. on this load there is a White compact,a chevy wrecker,a dodge d500,and a Chevy 80 tractor,.I didn't get pics of the 1st 2 loads,he hauled the '57 GMC boomtruck out on his lowboy,and also the '53 LaCrosse lowboy and a wrecked '77 R model cab& frame.
  25. Here's the 3rd load of trucks I sold to the scrap buyer, snow storm kinda slowed things down for now.At least the guy has good taste in trucks.
