  1. I saw those.Way too much for the one with the E9.The other one looked a little worse for wear.We were considering very seriously the RW713 in MA,E9,12 speed,36 in.bunk, but we've prety much decided no matter how cool it would be to have an E9,it's not going to be very practical as an everyday work truck with parts getting so scarce.Mikey's pretty satisfied at the moment driving mine, and this little red one will do me fine for along time.I do have to get over to Rob's and pick up my sleeper as it will be perfect for this truck, unless he's sold it off for storage. This way we don't have to hurry in finding the perfect replacement for Mikey's tractor.
  2. 55 is the # for a 1693 Cat,long dead in 84 & 85
  3. If you are buying it to make money,I'd say you've got 2 choices.#1 buy it and part it out,or #2 find a used engine, but I'd take the sleeper off, that year of truck as a daycab will bring you 4 to 6 k more than as a sleeper truck. That should have had the ETECH 427 with the individual unit pumps on each cylinder instead of a traditional fuel injection pump,in the search for a replacement, you'll have to be sure and check serial #'s to make sure everything is compatible.Engines from the '98 to '02 model year should work, but make sure to check #'s with a Mack dealer.
  4. are you sure about the 755 part?
  5. sharp old truck, but it sure needs to be about 6 ft longer, bet it rode like a buckboard
  6. Congrats,looks real solid.350,12 speed,dual stacks,you definately got a good buy.
  7. Was it an E9 or earlier V8?I missed out on a '78 RWS797 about a year ago.
  8. looks like the blue one is missing an engine
  9. you turn 4th and 5th around, but I wouldn't do it.The transmission in my blue '86 is a 14613 that was converted, and personally I hate it.I've always hated the whine you get out of a Fuller, and this compounds it.Plus, unless you have at least a 15713 with a cooler, you'll turn that trans. into scrap metal behind the E9.If your'e wanting to go faster, change the rears.
  10. That's the way I like to see cars.
  11. turned out real nice, want to paint a couple for me??,nice shade of green, too, but I thought it looked awfully good in the blue when you first got it.Got the sleeper painted too?
  12. about 7 inches, but I've got 3 to 5 ft drifts everywhere. It rained like hell, then wet snow, then got cold so they are hard as bricks
  13. looks to me like he used up every oddball spare he had just making sure they had enough tread to pass inspection,As long as the tires are the same height,it won't hurt, but if you are buying it to resell, those tires won't help you a bit, unless of course you are putting it on a boat.
  14. I'm not worried in the least, everyone knows the only things that will survive the end of the world are Mack trucks and cockroaches. All I gotta do is sit in one of my trucks and I should be fine, think I will stock up on some bug spray, though.
  15. Unfortunately someone converted it to hydraulic tilt.It's a '67 E457T,6-71 Detroit powered,10 speed,with a 600 Holmes bed.
  16. Started raining hard last nite, about 9 this morning it turned to snow, been snowing and high winds since, this pic was about noon today.
  17. i hope you ain't in a big ass hurry, after today it's going to take me a month to dig out.
  18. as I recall,it originally stood for Pacific Car & Foundry, before they bought up KW & Pete, the made some big ass military stuff.
  19. Not counting oil changes and tires which I consider normal wear items, I spent about $1500 on my 86 Superliner this year on repairs. This amounted to new brakes, slack adjusters, cam bushings, a new y pipe for the exhaust, and fixing a few electrical issues. I spent $9500 on the 2007 Rawhide my son drove on one repair, a new transmission, which failed at 485,000 miles. Unacceptable in my book for a Mack transmission. I am still fighting with Mack about this. And they wonder why I bought an 88 Superliner to replace it!
  20. If I was you, before I did anything else, you better jump back in your pickup and head to MI and find this guy and get this straightened out.you go and title it and it does turn up hot, you'll be in even more hot water.
  21. ok,great,i'll let you know if i get it.
  22. I didn't realize you were in the trucking business, what you going to haul with it?
