  9. no,the whole roof line was raised, not just the sleeper area. That cab there was actually used on export F and FM models, why they didn't use it here is beyond me.
  10. wonder whats up with the steering wheel?wouldn't think with that low miles the steering wheel would have had to been replaced.
  11. if they are anything like the ones we had on an old '81 Hawkeye grain trailer, they aren't much different than changing the ones on a car, just bigger parts.
  12. I remember when I was there way back in '76,they had an experimental F model cab tucked away in the corner back by the cab shaker. It had a raised roof line, probably a foot or so higher than normal. Our Mack Ambassador guide told us they were experimenting with a roof mounted radiator.

  24. I always loved the way a F was laid out inside, especially the later ones. They were a joy to drive, even though the ride wasn't always the best.I liked driving F models, better than the Cruiseliners we had.I did (still) have a '76 that had the air ride cab,it rode great, but the poor old girl was rusted so bad I pulled the engine and put in another.
  25. good looking F models, bet you wish you had them back.
