  1. Years ago,I was at an auction with Grandpa and there was a 110" cab Pete glider kit built with a 325 V8 Mack,5 speed and Mack rears on Camelback. Friend of mine from AZ sent me pics of a Bubblenose Freightliner with complete Mack drivetrain,673,Triplex,and Mack rears. Also, a friend of mine's uncle kitted some of the early White/GMC's with components from F models.
  2. I have an old hand crank wrecker boom similar to this one,but it's smaller and I don't think it would look right.
  3. Amazons,no doubt.I do like the old gin pole set up on this one.
  4. It sold last Saturday at an estate auction in Media,IL.
  5. Getting rid of these don't really hurt, like you said I've done my part. That's a whole lot more than most can say.The only Macks I have marked to go are the pair of wrecked MH's and I will super pick them before they go if not sold first.
  6. His name is Howard Dobbins from Durant,Iowa.
  7. It's been a few years,but I'm certain the B475 I looked at in TX had emblems.
  8. Welcome. The owner of this H67,good friend of mine,is really into Massey Harris tractors,I'm a Farmall tractor guy myself.
  9. Damn sharp, bet he's got more in that than I have in a 100 of mine.My only question is to why he put B-83 emblems on his B-73??
  10. yeah,if I can find it,I'll let you know.might be awhile,I'm not up to climbing thru storage trailers just yet.Supposed to start 4 weeks of PT Monday.
  11. I might have one in a trailer. I've got several F models with Triplex's,Grandpa had one with a 2 stick 6 speed,too.
  12. My AC was used to carry a small Cat as shown in this pic.It had a simple bed made of I beams across the frame with angle iron laid length ways with short beavertail. The ramps used to load didn't come with the truck, not that it matters.I'm contemplating as to what to put on the back.I have an ancient 5th wheel, the type with the long approach ramps and large pin that locked into latch in the front of trailer.I think it would look pretty cool, but trouble is I don't have one of the trailers set up for it to pull.I also have a dump box from the right era,but no hoist for it,and also a flatbed, but either of these will require a ton of work. What do you guys think, any other suggestions??
  13. Actually the cabs didn't have anything to do with the model, because most models had different cab options, sleeper, standard, concave, etc. The desiginations had to do with GVW rating, application& engine used.

  17. how far back does your info go??
  18. Don't forget the B-21 Hall-Scott powered and the B475 Hemi powered,andwasn't there a B-505?
  19. B model fire trucks were all odd numbered.Don't ask me why. The Thermodyne also reffered to the overhead valve Mack gas engines, the flatheads were Magnadynes.
  20. With the addition of the AC Mack to my collection, plus the fact I've been laid up for a month,I gotta get rid of of a bunch of trucks that I've aquired over the years, mostly to save from the crusher.A lot of them I've tried to sell in the past, but only got tire kickers and pic collectors for the most part. Here's a list of those that WILL BE GONE in 2 weeks,no ifs, ands or buts. The majority of the would be considered parts trucks to most. There are some more that I will hold off on for a little while, pending my recovery.
