  2. my other AC is a '28 an # 7312705,pretty darn close to yours.I'm thinking seriously of letting it go now that I have this one.It's all there but the body is very rough & rusty.

  4. Here you go,2 MH wrecks,take one or both.They are now on the "gotta go "list.There's till a few good pieces left,both have budd front axles.
  5. The spotlight was sold separate and wasn't original to the truck.
  6. the very first production AC,serial # 7000 is alive,well,and beautifully restored, living a life of comfort at the Iowa 80 truckstop in Walcott,IA.It does sometimes getout to do some touring,but most of the time it's on display in the lobby of corporate headquarters.

I can't find my AC book,but it's a 6 digit VIN begining with 73,hood's been rubbing on frame and number is hard to read.Story was it was originally a firetruck in Chicago,then later a tag axle was cobbled on and a crane was attached,last ran 6 years ago,really happy about getting it,but now some other stuff has to go.

Been a long time,I don't remember if he mentioned any hp numbers,just said it was a good puller before it went down.It was chromed up nice under the hood.I never got any pics before they pulled the engine.This is the kid's project(the old man don't know nothing,ya know)he kinda got in a big ass hurry to pull the old engine,then they had to get it out of his buddy's shop before the replacement was ready and haven't been able to get it back in.

  20. heck with the fire equipment,put a row of keg tappers,and put in a BBQ grille,would be great for shows.

  22. it ran but like you said,had known issues,ended up being a spun rod bearing.We've got the old motor out,just waiting to get the replacement pulled out of a wrecked MH I bought in Des Moines.
  23. there were 2 versions,one had a 2nd stick for deep reduction,the other an air switch on the dash.You split the main gears with the splitter on the knob
  24. If I remember right,he was asking $10500 at the time Mikey bought the E9 from him.
