  3. in 2010 the FMCSA came up with a points system.Every time you get a ticket,be it warning or not both you and the company you drive for get assessed points on your record.each violation carries different # of points,you get too many in a year,you lose your license and or authority.

  11. Don't know how much you want to spend,but only NOS gold mirrors I've ever run across have been Brockway ones.Just saw a pair on Ebay for $350.You could buy a set on them and change the dogs.NOS gold dogs show up quite often.
  12. That was my favorite Bandag tread design ever.Good traction and didn't seem like you could ever wear them out.

  15. one possibility is that it was ordered with the V8 and then changed before delivery.By '66 the NH250 would have replaced the NH220 as the base Cummins engine for the B73 &B83's.I've heard of trucks being sent back for mods after completion,I have one B61 that according to the build sheet was sent back and had the rears and front axle changed .Brad Wlikes greeen H-61 was built as a H60 and had the gas engine replaced with a diesel before delivery.

  18. 254 and I'd bet every one of them went to Roadway.

Those Roadway trucks pictured are U773T's and had 8V71 Detroits in them,not the 6V92.Mack also offered Cummins and V8 Mack engines in U700's.The next batch of Roadway U's were U626's with the 6V92 Detroits and had the normal height hood and cab.Roadway trucks used to all have air starters,too.
  20. the annual Midwest Old Threshers is really a good all around show.I'm not smart enough to post a link,but they have a website that shows what all goes on,tractors,steam engines,horse drawn stuff,cars,trucks,hit&miss engines,crafts,antiques,flea market,trolleys,saw mill,historic villages,country music entertainment,tons of other stuff.

  23. I'll keep you posted.Napa called me today and told me my alternator was in,but they put the wrong pulley on so had to send it back.It's been kinda aggravating. The Brockway had been giving me fits all year,too,but I finally got it running.This will be the first outing for it this year.
