  1. 3rd place 1986 & older working truck conventional bobtail.Evidently the judges liked ol' Super Mutt's new look. What do you guys think?
  2. The R means it has right hand drive, not sure on the E,never seen that on a tag before.
  3. I've got a PT270 in my '69 RL739LST,it has a 6 speed Spicer.I too was told by a Cummins man that they were built to compete with the Maxidyne.
  4. those look like the ones for a Valueliner
  5. I never knew about the blue B61,you been holding out on us,Travis???I remember that truck being on Ebay several years ago.The B72 is damn nice, too.
  6. I didn't realize that aluminum rear end cases were not common,I have several Macks with the aluminum carriers.
  7. Sweet Superliner.I'm pretty sure the LJ and green B73 were on Ebay awhile back, glad to see they went to a good home. The red B75 came from Joe Keeley, near Chicago.I'm sure it was on Ebay too. Next time your there, get some particulars on the G model for me.
  8. It's shaft drive, but I'm going to figure a way to put chains on,just for looks.I've got a new set of the old Bulldog mudflaps they used to make for pickups hid somewhere,I think they'd be just right for it.I'm going to take the half dog off the hood and have my vynil guy make a AC emblem for it.
  9. Our anniversary isn't till 7-25,so I got awhile to find her something nice, but I doubt if I can top this.I'll get some more pics and get them posted,it has a Koehler engine and a Case Ingersoll trans. The guy built it himself. As far as the R model,I was pretty proud of that old girl.Bought it 12-12-85,traded in a '67 F-611.It started life as a glider, manufactured and sold in '76 but not built until '79.It had a new Pedigree rebuilt ENDT676,brand new 2 stick 6 speed and rebuilt 4:17 rears on new trunion and springs. It was a pretty plain old work truck, super clean and came from a very good home.I put all the chrome, mirrors & brackets, battery box covers, hub caps, stack, added an extra horn and sun visor, polished aluminum bumper and swapped the front spokes out for polished Alcoas.Put in a hi-back Bulldog seat with arm rests and button tuck door panels from a '80 Superliner.A few years later a car ran a stop sign in front of me and I T-boned it,so after the repairs,I painted it 2 tone blue and added a 36" sleeper. It was a good old truck,I still know where it's at and hope to get it back again someday.
  10. I've got the radiator for one, never seen one in the flesh.
  11. Check out what my wife Wendy got me for our upcoming 25th anniversary. We've been looking for our own golfcart to take to the truck shows for awhile, tired of renting all the time.2 nites ago I stumbled across this one on the internet for sale, and it was only 2 1/2 hours away.I showed it to her, told her it was just what we needed.I called about it the next morning, told the seller I'd make arrangements to come look and call back. When I called him this afternoon,he said it was sold. So,when I got home about 4:30,Wendy tells me that she bought it and was going to hide it till next month and surprise me,but the seller was leaving for Florida in the morning and she couldn't find anyone on short notice to pick it up,so we went up and got it.She's all disappointed her surprise didn't work out the way she wanted, but it was a big surprise to me,anyway.Think I'll keep her for another 25 yrs. now. Guess I shoulda known she was a keeper ,she still married me after I showed up at the church looking like this. I did get forced into a tux later, though.
  12. too bad the left door is gone, looks like a pretty straight old truck.
  13. Here you go.It's rated at 20 ton.7:50x15 tires, decent tread but old,new lights but needs wired.Brakes will need redone.Scrapper offered me $1600,I'd rather see it go to somebody that would save it.It's made for a single axle tractor,I had to take the pins out of my 5th wheel and move it all the way to the back to pull it home with my tandem, pulls really nice.
  14. Mikey and I(mostly Mikey) have been getting a few things done since getting the truck home from MA. Found the proper G style front emblem and a NOS G73 emblem in my inventory. replaced the KW marker lights with Mack ones, added a blue lens in the center Jake brake installed and air piping rerouted. no more muffler, added a chrome elbow Mikey found these I had stashed away, guess I gotta start hiding stuff better
  15. I've got a '53 LaCrosse lowboy that would look real good behind you B75,$1400.
  16. The front sheet metal on the EHU on up is a little different, those trucks had the larger flatter grille.Good luck on your search for parts, some stuff from the conventional E's will fit.The door will be hard to find.
  17. I've got one of those bumpers if anyone is looking for one. It's slightly tweeked, but could be fixed and rechromed.
  18. I don't remember the name of the movie, but Charles Napier was driving a "new at the time" Freightliner conv. pulling a van loaded with vodka,he got into a CB pissing match with an old timer driving a crusty White Freightler COE pulling a flatbed with sides, loaded with oranges. They finally got the trucks tangled up trying to pass one another, you can guess what the final result was.
  19. If you get it,I'll trade you a bug screen for a B model for it.
  20. Barton Burch in Rochelle,IL had some old Dunn Coal Macks, one was a super rare CH tandem.Haven't seen the trucks for some time,so I don't know the current status, but they were in the same original condition as this AC.
