  1. Here it is,Ol' Blackie.1965 U609ST,END711,18 speed Quad,5:73 rears,22" spokes on the back,24.5 budds up front,air assist power steering.
  2. Yes,903's fit in U600's.
  3. I bought a '69 IH F2000 a few years ago with a 6-71 in it.Mikey and I went to pick it up,checked the oil, took the filter off and filled it up,put in a battery and it fired right away, idled real pretty for 10 seconds then it took off.Mikey bailed out of the cab on a dead run,I turned to ask the guy I bought it from for something to stuff in the air cleaner and he was running just as fast the other way.Found an old coat under the seat, went to stuff that in the air cleaner and it sucked it out of my hand, along with one of my gloves. It ran for another 5 or 6 minutes and finally choked out, burnt the grass away from the tail pipe a good 2 ft. circle.Sold it to a buddy of mine,he freed up the stuck injector and it ran like a top. Those old Detroits will take alot of abuse, and can have alot wrong with them and keep running.
  4. Those cabs are made of real American steel, they can be welded.
  5. They might have the year wrong, but it is a sweetheart.
  6. 8V92 Detroit would be correct for the R770,a 8v71 would be a R773,a 12V71 would be a R771.
  7. I wonder if the Wide Load banner is DOT approved?
  8. Dad had a Cruiseliner with 3:87's and a 5 speed,it would run 72,so I'd guess the 3:65's would put you close to 80 on 20" rubber.
  9. Hey Vinny,somebody just listed a 1970 U685T dump truck,no reserve,opening bid $.01.
  10. I'm guessing your cab leveling valve is shot and air is coming out the exhaust tube.
  11. Where's this stuff at?I'd be interested in that Superliner if it was reasonably close.
  12. If they just adjusted your valves,I believe they would be eating this bill if it were my truck.
  13. This '79 Cruiseliner belongs to some friends of mine,it was at a ATHS chapter get together early this month. It has a ENDT676,5 speed and 3:65 rears. This MH belongs to another friend of mine.My daughter Lilly and I were out for a ride Sunday so we stopped to check it out. He's looking to maybe sell it and buy a newer CH and wanted me to look it over. It's a '84,2 valve 300,T2100 trans,4:42 rears on Neway.
  14. Yep,they'll nail him for being parked on the shoulder.
  15. Looks real good,Vinny.Someday I'll have to see if I can find some of my old ones.
  16. Look up a post in here from Dec.2008 titled "Highpoint Towing"
  17. It belongs to John McLellan in Michigan, haven't talked to John in quite awhile. I think I still have one of those mudflaps ,always kinda liked that style too.
