  3. Tell Doug "Hi" for me,Vinny.
  4. I'd like to see better pics, before I'd pass judgement, but I've seen similar day cabs priced at 10 to 12k.The sleeper and pusher axle is a plus in my book, but could put off some bidders.
  5. pic would'nt load
  6. Sure don't look like the Loadstar's I grew up with.
  7. Sounds like Washington. When my brother & I were too young to drive,we drove Grandpa's H Farmall everywhere. We'd bale hay and do odd jobs for neighbors whenever we had all our own work done,we put alot of miles on that tractor, then Grandpa bought a 8n Ford so we both had something to drive.
  8. I can get you a seat and glove box door and a standard 10 speed Duplex data plate if that would work,I'd go new with the windshield rubber, the side window channel and felt you can get thru any Mack dealer, just get it for a R model and trim it to fit.The rear window rubber for a concave cab might be tough to find.
  9. Some more info I left out.240" wheelbase,18'5" of frame behind cab,power steering,air ride cab,air dryer,aluminum fuel tanks.
  10. It has a plexiglass window.
  11. 1995 Western Star cab & chassis, former tractor, sleeper removed,N14-435E Cummins,850K,9 speed Fuller overdrive,DS404 rears on Hendrickson air ride, some rust, runs and drives good.Hub pilot 24.5 rear,22.5 frt.I bought this truck to do an engine transplant in to a '88 Superliner, but have found out it's go to be way too much trouble and $$. $6000 OBO or will take anything Mack in full or partial trade.
  12. It pulled better just because it was a Superliner.
  13. 1495 and 1660 if I remember right
  14. They are having an auction April,11th to get rid of the rest of the stuff. You interested?I think it was a model 935,has duals on all 4.
  15. It really is a survivor,Joe.Original as can be.Near as I can tell,it still has all 10 original rims, too.Such a shame they didn't get it moved out of the flood area. They were having some troubles and left all their equpment to the flood,2 CH Mack tractors, one IH 8300 tractor,a R200 diesel IH grain truck,3 hopper trailers,2 flatbeds,a 4x4 Versitile farm tractor with 903 Cummins, and several other smaller tractors, and all their implements, plus several antique tractors. a real shame.
  16. one thing you want to remember on shifting a 2090,don't use 5th in the low side, shift 1,2,3,4,pull up selector and go back into 1st(5th),then 6,7,8,9.Mack revised the shift pattern to this on the 2090's shortly after introduction, but alot of people still shifted them in a normal 9 speed pattern, that why alot of 2090's suffered from syncronizer problems.Try it both ways and you can tell the difference.
  17. That old towbar has drug home alot of trucks over the years.I don't know(or want to find out)how DOT legal that is but it sure has worked for me on these close to home rescues.
  18. Mikey took this pic out his back window on the ride home, kinda looks like a scene from Maximum Overdrive.
  19. This truck is probably the most unmolested B model I have,as far as the body.It has no bondo or any evidence of ever being repaired. It does have rust above the windshield and a little at the bottom back.It was a tractor, stretched and made into a grain truck in the early '60's.I'd estimate it has less than 250k on it.The factory tubeless budd wheels is the most unique feature, budd whels were basically unheard of in these parts, let alone tubeless.
  20. so far,all I can see that's cracked from freezing is the exhaust manifold.transmission and rears look good. When I drained the cylinders trying to get the box down,no water came out, just oil and it looked decent, not all milky.I'm hoping I can get it unstuck,if not I have other 673's lying around. The box has a wood floor, and its not the best, rest of it is good shape, sides nics and straight, crossmembers good.
  21. Why didn't this one come home with you? I think there is a member in here that has a LMU. There was a military version of this model,NJU I think it was called,4x4 basically same cab, they made 700 of them in 1941 only.I tried to buy one out of a junkyard in Illinois several years ago,but I couldn't swing it with all the other stuff I'd already bought there.
  22. Finally got around to getting this one home today.Only been a year, guess that's not too bad for me.Been waiting on the people thats farming the former owners place to move stuff around and get it moved out to solid ground for me.Could not get the box to come down, both cylinders were stuck tight,so we decided we better flat tow it so we wouldn't take down any overhead wires.I was a little doubtful the Mikey's Dodge would pull it home, especially since only 3 of the rear tires would take air,but we took it slow and everything went smooth. It was kind of a long 12 miles for me steering as you can see the interior was still pretty gross from the flood.
