  1. These were a whole different animal than the 555.They were naturally aspirated. If I remember right, there was also a V6 version of this engine.
  2. Cummins had a 265 hp V8 in that era, wasn't real reliable from what I've been told, wonder if thats what it had.
  3. No,it doesn't.They never drained it after the flood and it's stuck.
  4. Sure it isn't RS611LST???
  5. When they first came out in 1975,they were painted copper.1980 was the year they went to that ugly red/orange for all engines, because of some EPA thing with Maxidyne gold. Then they went to light blue, then gray.
  6. I brought the old story back up for you,Vinny.
  7. Here,Vinny,I went back and found this so I wouldn't have to retype it.

  9. The poor old truck was rusted so bad it blew off.It was a fertilizer truck and that stuff really eats up a truck if not kept washed really well.I couldn't let it go to scrap,so I brought it home.
  10. Hate to admit it but he's right.Put batteries in the 759 Brockway Saturday afternoon, hadn't touched it since I got it home in Dec.I swear it was running before I got the starter button pushed in.
  11. A guy I used to haul corn for had a Belarus, his was comparable in size to a 4020 JD.All I ever seen it used for was to run the auger when they were filling bins in the fall.his hired man called it the "Commie Cornbinder"
  12. Welcome Paul.Do you have any pics of your old trucks to show us?
  13. I like that Ramcharger,i've got a newer one a '89 and a '84 for parts.I also have a '76 Clubcab 100 painted the same color as your Ramcharger.

  22. Here you go,Ernie.24" diameter Western tank & brackets, straps are usable, but I'd get new if I were you.The tank has one small repair I took a closeup of.No corrosion under straps.
  23. leave to 2 stick 6 in,what's wrong with 3 sticks,lotta old L's and real early heavy B's had 3 sticks.
  24. Some I remember, some I gotta look up.Luckily,I had 2 of the best teachers in the world when it came to Mack info,Harry and Spike Nelson, founders of H&L Mack Truck Sales in Mediapolis,IA.These guys were tops,I would literally spend hours listening to them.Wish they were still around, but by me passing on as much of the knowledge they gave me as I can, their legacy lives on.Also,I got a small "library" (spec sheets & folders, owners manuals, parts books, service manuals, books, magazines, you name it)that I started when I was younger than you,and I'm still adding to it.The best source I've found for printed info is the old specs folders that they used to have at the dealers.I've got damned near a full set from E model days up to the '70s & '80's when they changed. There's a couple sellers on Ebay you can get them from, but they've been getting pricey.Once in awhile there'll be a cheap one.Glad I got most of mine way back when.
  25. Just got home,Ernie,I'll got out right now and take pics and measure it.
