  1. Didn't he also reproduce some AC parts?Shutters if I remember right.
  2. I'd love to have that F model dump truck.Wonder if it's a F800 or 900?
  3. That is great news Paul, can't wait to see the pics.
  4. The early Superliners were all RW7xx models. They were RWS7xx for the steel frame and RWL7xx for the aluminum frame.
  5. This style aircleaner was used right up till the end although the oilpan did change designs, the air cleaner with the top intake cap was used with the turbocharged engines starting in '54 or '55 and was an option for for the non-turbo engines later.
  6. They also moved the wiper motor from underneath the dash to outside the firewall and went to a different mounting system for the radiator shell in that same time period,59-60.
  7. I've got a broken one already out of a truck, would that work for a mold?I'm positive there are no pieces missing..
  8. I always heard it was to take in cleaner air,out of the dust.
  9. The tall intake pipe was an option, you'd see them on DM's and RD's alot.
  10. Good luck, just don't figure on getting rich or ever having enough money to retire.
  11. Dan, I'm pretty sure that's not the same B73 Jack used to own.I'm certain it stayed in Illinois.I'm thinking his was a '59.
  12. Those hard nose DM's always look tough as hell.I bought 2 consectutive serial # '68 DM611's at an auction several years ago,one was complete, just needed tires & batteries to drive. The other was partial tore down, but all parts were there. Both had good metal, but the tore down one had a later model cab that was spotless.I hauled the engine, trans, hood fenders & radiator home that day,and made arrangements with who I was told was the property owner to store the trucks 2 weeks till I could come back and load them.Never saw them again.
  13. Mike, before you throw in the towel, why not talk to some of the other "offenders" and see if you can get together, there's strength in numbers.Next thing, you got to get it through to the enforcement people that you are pursuing a hobby, collecting & preserving the antique trucks.I couldn't because the guy in our county has the common sense of a inbred goat and the brains of a grain of sand, but I got it thru to the jury(normal, taxpaying, property owning citizens) at my trial, that's how I won.As far as hiring a lawyer,I didn't.At my pretrial hearing I was told by the judge"Mr. Harbison, you better hire the best lawyer money can buy, because I WILL find you guilty and you WILL serve time".Well,I tried several, cheapest wanted $15k up front, all said I was wasting my time, but they'd sure as hell take all I had to help me lose. So,piss on the lawyers,I was brought up to fight my own battles.I went up against a county attorney that had more years in practicing law than my Dad has in trucking, and that's a bunch.I won. So please at least try, don't let the bastards win. They win at taking our trucks away, what's next?Telling us where to live, who to marry, how many kids to have, where will it end???
  14. You're more than welcome anytime to come up for a tour, lots to look at,if your into rust and dents, especially.
  15. The Cummins would be a good fit, will make you a nice functional work & play truck. You'll probably want to update the rear end with the engine swap or it might be a little slow.

  19. That would put it at around 1958,no doubt the title has a typo or the crane itself was a '52,hard to tell.
  20. Congrats on the find, please post some pics for us.
  21. This bullshit has to stop.Until we all stand up to these bastards, they'll continue to rule our lives as they see fit. Were they on your property without permission???File charges for tresspassing.Stand up to them, don't roll over and play dead.I've fought many, many battles over my old trucks, one in court where I stood to be fined ten of thousands of dollars and serve jail time.I'm still here,my trucks are still here, and my county's zoning administrator knows he will get his head blown off if he evers steps on my property. This is America, guys.Where would we be if George Washington gave in just cause it looked like he couldn't win.If everyone who is ever faced by this same situtation raised holy hell and fought back, maybe things wouldn't be the way there are now. Sorry for some of my language but this is one topic that pisses me off to no end.
