  1. Somebody call the guys in the white coats, otherdog's talking to himself.
  2. maybe his diaper was full
  3. Good news.
  4. Good save, whoever hauled that in for scrap should have their ass kicked, twice, then shot.
  5. If that truck gets shredded,I hope they strap the SOB that brought it to the scrap yard in the driver's seat.
  6. Damned if I know, every once in awhile this damn thing switches letter size and style.I'll have to get my 12 yr. old to figger it out for me.
  7. If you ever drive one you'll develop a need for one.
  8. looks like you are getting a good start
  9. There was someone that was reproducing back panels and floor sills for the L cab,he used to advertise in Wheels of Time & Double clutch, been quite awhile back, but maybe someone has his contact info.
  10. The right one would be shorter to give clearance for the air cleaner,if I'm not mistaken.
  11. I can find no evidence of the frame being bent. The frame is really clean, also.I bought this truck mainly for the engine to transplant into my son's '88 Superliner, way cheaper than rebuilding his E9.
  12. Got the Magnum MH home this week.I'd sure like to know what caused all this cab damage. There is very little on the entire cab that is usable, interior is pretty well trashed as well.I'm pretty happy with the rest of it,though.Has factory rebuilt 3:65 rears, with air lock power divider.Taperleaf suspension with fairly new springs and bushings, trunion is good,no cracks or welds. We only had it running briefly, but the E9 sounded good, has PTO with direct mount pump and full wet kit.nearly new steer tires 11R24.5's on aluminum, and floaters on the rear at about 50%.Lots of good parts for sure.
  13. Manders is showing a 1990 RS688 cab & chassis, stock # 4728 for $4500.Looks to be an ex-mixer truck.Cab & hood look nice in the pics. You could swap cabs and resale the rest and come out pretty cheap.
  14. The B733 would have had a 262 Cummins,if the 335 was original to the truck,it would have been a B773.Most 335's I've ever been around were good old motors, just like most others'it's all in the care they get and how they driven. The data plate should be right in front of the air compressor.
  15. "I've never seen a Superliner in real life"That statement is probably one of the saddest things I've heard in awhile. One more thing we as Americans can take for granted.Hopefully someday you can come over here and see one in all it's glory.I give thanks everyday that I can walk out my front door and climb into my Superliner and go to work.I can't imagine how some people can even drag themselves out of bed each day knowing they have to drive a Brand X truck. Good work so far on your model, maybe someday you can build a replica of mine for me,my model building days are in the past.
  16. Good for you.Hated to see you get forced to sell it.
  17. Did you try Vander Haag's?You might also call Housby in Des Moines, ask for Drew.
  18. The SP switch was mounted under the passenger seat in my L models.
  19. Try Lancaster County Upholstery,717-569-3281.They advertise in Double Clutch, says they do E &L model headliners,E would be same pattern as an A cab.Never seen an A model,or anything B model or earlier that had upholstered door panels that weren't aftermarket/custom.
  20. Any chance of buying the title and door tag for 52647 since your getting rid of this one???
  21. Only dealer in Illinois I've ever dealt with was Quincy Mack.Even though they didn't have the part in stock I needed (Newy airbag)they went out of their way to try to find me one.Never bought anything from them though,so don't know what their salesmen are like.
  22. It's a tilt cab Volvo like Tom George had.
  23. Whatever you are willing to pay. It's all depending on how bad you want it and how bad the seller wants to sell it. The only set value for an antique truck starts out at what it will bring for scrap and goes up from there.ED's are fairly scarce, very desirable, and I've seen some bring some big money,as well as I've seen some go reasonable. If he's looking for an offer,I'd start out at $6000 and go from there .
