  1. Jack does own it,talked to him on the phone yesterday.I've know him for several years,he just has a bad habit of putting trucks up for sale as soon as or shortly after he buys them.
  2. Several years ago the was a story in Double Clutch about the rescue of that EQSW.
  3. Thanks Glenn,I figured there was something that would be different, just didn't know what.
  4. Are there any differences between a 2v block and a 4v? The Superliner I just drug home has a ventilated block,I've got a good 2v 350 block.,just wondered if they were compatible of if there was some little differences that would prevent me from building a good engine from the 2.
  5. Matt, The angled bumper was an option on the RW700's,could've been on the 600's too but I've never seen one.
  6. It's a real straight truck, just needs some paint,TLC and a new engine.Bumper damage was my fault,I shoulda took it off so we could get to the tow hooks, but I was in a hurry.Thought I had the chain hooked where it wouldn't slip, but it did.It wasn't perfect to start with, plus it was off a KW,so no real loss.
  7. Bought this old girl about a year ago, finally got it home today.'88 Superliner,E-6 350(with optional access hole in block)T2090,Camelback suspension.
  8. From past experience, you don't want to take everything printed in a truckpaper listing as gospel. It could however have been built as a single axle and converted to a twin screw, also. Can't help you on the Allison part,no nothing about them.
  9. I'm with you on the repower. After fighting with the old flathead gassers in my '46 Brockway and '47 Mack,I'm tempted to do the same thing.I'd go with a Cummins or 466 IH,stay away from Cat.

  16. With the exception of the air intake, the AMT model kit is based on a 1975 Cruiseliner, and that's where the turn signals were mounted.Near as I remember that was the only year for the recessed headlight panels.
  17. I've got an air starter on my boom truck and it does the same thing.I was told that i should take starter off and soak it in a bucket of diesel fuel for a day or so.I haven't got around to doing that yet,I just pull start it then after the truck has warmed up,it's starts fine with the air starter.
  18. A pair of ex-Greco B-61's I picked up in Des Moines,Iowa a few years ago.
  19. Your oil pressure line could be pinched off or plugged, seen both happen. If you truck has always been air start, you'll just have to replace starter and wire it up,there will be no series parallel switch to eliminate since it was air to begin with. I have a pair of '64 B53's myself,B53S1893 & 1894.Good luck with yours.
