  1. Here's a few of the 600 series for you. 607--- END673 609--- END711 611--- ENDT673C 612--- ETAZ673A (300+) 615--- END864 626--- 6V92 Detroit 685--- ENDT675 686--- ENDT676 688--- at first E6-350, later designated all Econdyne series 6 cylinder engines 690---later code for all Maxidyne series 6 cylinder engines
  2. Looks good, must be one of the later ones.'76 or '77?
  3. If it's sat that long, you might want to check the turbo to make sure it spins,I've seen them stick from sitting.
  4. Did you notice how it sagged in the middle? It also had a set of trailer landing gear mounted ahead of the drive axles, don't know what the idea of that was.
  5. Both trucks from the movie Moonfire were offered for sale.I saw the ad in an old issue of Overdrive.I'll see if I can find it.
  6. Since we're on the topic of old western actors, does anyone remember when Mack hired Dale Robertson as the "Mack Marshall" in their "All Star Used Truck Corral" ad campaign in the '80's.
  7. Looks like I'm going to be going to South Bend, heading out Tuesday a.m..I'll have some room going out and a little room coming back if anybody needs something hauled.Anybody needing a B model parts, let me know tomorrow,I can bring some along. You can call me at 319-759-1776.
  8. Thats the same one I posted a pic of awhile back,it's RS753LST14786.
  9. John, Is the engine original??It was always my understanding that the B-77's had the supercharged engine like Dan said, and the B-773's had the 335. 5:08 is a Mack ratio,my '58 B-73 and 'one of my '60 B-61's both have 5:08's. Please post some pics ASAP,can't wait to see it.
  10. The louvres are evidently the air intake,as there is no intake cap on top of the cab as seen on most G models.Definately a rare truck, and for the condition&what all comes with it,priced very reasonable.
  11. This is definately one of those cases when you wish pictures could talk.At a glance,it does look like a F model sleeper, but if you study it ,I believe it to be an Orville sleeper, especially with that window. The rear axle looks to be a tag, with that and the fact it has no battery box in the typical R model fashion,I'm wondering if it was a B-73 refitted with a 700 series BCR conversion.
  12. If they had been built at the Hayward,CA plant I would say yes.But the eastern made Macks all started over with 1001 with each seperate model,so while it is possible they were built together,I wouldn't guarantee it.
  13. I've bought several things from Chuck over the years on Ebay,he's a super guy to deal with.
  14. The ENDT866 was first available in the '73 model year if I remember right, those are both fairly early numbers,so I'd guess '73 or early '74.
  15. That is a nice truck, congratulations. Not that many B-421's out there.
  16. That is one neat old truck, youv'e definately got one to be proud of.
  17. Sounds to me like the son needs a thorough beating.
  18. I'd say it's a Morgan also. The one listed on Old Macks as a Rest Rite is also a Morgan, the other bunk he has listed is the actual rest Rite.
  19. The old VIN #'s didn't have to be a certain number of characters,my '69 RL for example is 12 characters,RL739LST4574.Got a '73 R with only 11,it's R685ST30384.Big share of my B models are only 8 characters.
  20. Guess I was mistaken,this truck is a RS753LST,VIN# RS753LST14786,1674 Cat,TRQL7220,5:73 Mack rears
  21. Flatbed Annie & Sweetiepie, starred Kim Darby and Annie Potts.Read somewhere the truck was a RWS797LST,definately had a V8 as there was a brief shot with the hood up.
  22. This truck was for sale awhile back in WI,probably still there cause he was asking quite abit for it.It's a RL753LST,with a 1674 in it.I'm pretty sure the ad said it was a 1971.
  23. Back when I got my first B-61,Iowa had a law that all vehicles had to pass inspection upon transfer of ownership before plates could be issued. If a vehicle was sold that would not pass,it could be sold on a "Red title",then new owner was responsible for getting it to pass before registering it.So after I got my truck finished,I had to have it inspected by DOT.I wired it up original, with only a single tail/stop light.I even showed them a original wiring diagram, but they would not pass it until I wired up 2 tail, stop, and turn lights on the rear.I'm sure like everything else, this would vary from state to state.
  24. I'd love to have that one just for the fact that it's RH drive.
