  1. Sounds to me like you are partial to MH's,sounds like it's a good truck,I'd grab it.Maybe I look at things the wrong way,but we are only here once.No sense not being happy as we can possibly make ourselves while we are here. They print more money every single day, can't say that for MH Mack's.
  2. The displacement is 672 cu.in.on the E6.I've got 2 wrecked MH's with budd front hubs if you ever want to swap yours to budds.Do you know anything about the company that had your truck?Saw some pics from Gerhart's show of it or one just like it and a F-715T.Pretty cool old truck, had a big horseshoe on the front.
  3. Yes,that is your oil filter. You have to change the filter inside the canister.
  4. $53,000,not $5,300.I was kinda shocked to see that too.
  5. According to a post on the ATHS forum, the B-75 brought $53,000.No mention of the B-61 as of yet.
  6. I just bought another Superliner,'88 RW613 that has a 4 valve 350 with problems.Turbo went out, blew out a bunch of oil,but they drove it back to the shop 20 some miles.Changed turbo's,ran it awhile everything seemed ok.About a month later it developed a knock so they parked it.Sold it to another guy who was going to fix it,he tried to drive it home and it locked up.He decided it was going to be more work than planned so he called me to see if I wanted it for parts since I still ran Superliners.Said he got it to run,it would idle nice but if you tried to go much past 1000 rpm it knocked bad.Went and looked at it,made a deal, told him I'd be back to get it this weekend. He decided to try and move it to a better spot, instead of caging the brakes and pulling it,he decided since it was running again,he'd drive it.It now has a rod hanging out the side of the block. So now instead of a possibly repairable engine,I have a boat anchor. The truck is too good to part out so I found a really good 2 valve 350,low miles with history. What I need to know is will the air to air set up from the 4 valve fit the 2 valve engine. The 2 valve came from a '84 RS688 and the ATAAC from it is damaged. Are there any other issues that will prevent this from being an easy swap?
  7. Thanks for the offer, but this old cab is pretty good shape.Good enough for me anyway. Only thing I do need is a decent dog house cover if anybody has one.Whoever designed those sure didn't make them out of heavy enough material.
  8. Not a real good pic,but here's the little Superliner get together we had at our local 4th of July celebration. All are working trucks. Far left is my 1985 RW613,E6-350,15 speed,4:17 Mack rears on Camelback,36" Able Sleeper. Next is my 1986 RW633,Big Cam IV 400 Cummins,13 speed,3:55 Eatons on Neway,60" Able sleeper. 3rd is a 1989 RW613 owned by Yakle Excavating,E6-350,T2090,4:17 Mack rears on Mack/Hendrickson air ride. Last is a 1985 RWS722 owned by Screamer Express, also of Morning Sun.It has a E9-440 built to 600+,12 speed,3:65 Mack rears on Neway. Next year I hope to have my '87 Freedom Edition RW613 and my son's '88 E9-500 powered RW613 in the line up also.
  9. Ain't many left around here either, they all got kitted into R & DM's after their OTR days were thru.
  10. I believe 1990 was the first production year for the VMAC electronics.I had a 1991 CH with an electronic E7400.You could still get mechanical E7's until '94.
  11. Brought this home this afternoon.1975 WS786LST Cruiseliner,ENDT676,5 speed,3:87 rears on taperleaf suspension.Runs & drives like a champ,rides & shifts like a Cruiseliner.Needs alot of TLC.
  12. Whatever happened to the Superliner Registry??Someone from VA,name slips my mind right now,he either worked at or owned a Mack dealer was in charge of it.Haven't got an update from him for along time.
  13. Sorry to hear it.You have my sympathy.
  14. Sure enough.Does yours still have the 864?Mine does but it needs work.I gotta find a hood for mine also. The one that's on it is a B61 hood that the previous owner set on it to keep motor covered.
  15. Too bad you couldn't find some old stock Magnum stamped Goodyear tires.
  16. Looks great, where'd you find the Magnum mudflaps?
  17. There are grease zerks on the compound shift rails that often go unnoticed and ungreased.I have a quad in a '65 U model that used to hang up quite often until I got it greased up good.
  18. When I pulled the shims out on my B83 wrecker,I done it from the underside,PITA but I didn't have to pull the floorboard out.
  19. Rob, If you find torque rod bushings, let me know where.I went to order new bushings for one on my '86 and was told no bushings kits available, had to order the whole torque rod.Last one in the system according to the computer for my application(Eaton rears with Neway suspension).
  20. Larry, You don't need 8 " pipes to stand out from the red oval boys.Think you proved that at Walcott this summer.Besides, you put those big pipes on,next thing you know, you'll be sitting on the floor, wearing your hat backwards, while your knuckles scrape your headliner when you shift gears.
  21. That's not really a Midliner. The CM's were a whole different animal than the CS.Mack marketed them as a "Baby8".Not real sure of the build numbers but they didn't make a whole lot of them.
  22. We're at opposite ends, then.I'm down in the southeast corner.
  23. The mirrors with the 1/2 Bulldogs were first a Mack Western option and came around in the mid '70's.,you could either get chrome dogs, gold dogs,or you could even get gold mirrors instead of the polished aluminum.I got my Dad a set for his '78 Cruiseliner and at that time had to order them as our dealer only stocked the old style bubble back mirrors.I don't know when they became a standard item, but the '85 Superliner that Dad bought new came with the old style bubble back Mack mirrors.Actually, the old style mirrors are better in my opinion. The plastic ends on the Bulldog mirrors will crack in time, then the mirror gets wobbly.
