  1. Stamping the serial # at the rear of the frame was not one of Mack's better ideas.I have a few L,E and A models that I don't have #'s for because the frame has been shortened or patched.
  2. Looks like the only thing missing from your serial # is the A.It should read A40T5312.
  3. There are a few parts that will interchange between the conventional E models and the COE versions, but in general,E parts are hard to come by.Do you know what model you have? They made the following E model COE's EEU,EFU,EGU,EHU,EMU,and EQU.
  4. Here's some unmodified ones. The last pic with the row of E models is some of my stuff, the 3rd truck is a '38 EHU COE.
  5. I think this one was on Ebay or Craigslist awhile back.
  6. A few years ago,I saw a B61 integral sleeper for sale in TX that had a 1673 swapped into it.Dick Lein in Wis. has a B-73 with a 1674 Cat.
  7. Clement is Ft.Dodge,Iowa Lewis was Lincoln,Neb. Flag City is Findlay,OH Pozzo is Gary,IND That's all I know of the top of my head,I've got some old dealer directories somewhere.
  8. If I remember right it was a 3306.
  9. I don't know what year they quit and went to the 5 spoke, but the 6 spoke wheel was used on all the 34k rears, they had the small wheel studs that used same nut as steer axle.
  10. Does anyone have a breakdown of the different Hayward built trucks and how many of each were built?For example,how many RS685's,RL795's,etc.All I can come up with is a total for each general model.I'm looking at a '69 RL739LST and would like to know just how many were built. FL700 - 2933 FS700 - 7169 RL400 - 50 RL600 - 4288 RL700 - 4038 RS400 - 40 RS600 - 14111 RS700 - 5169 RS800 - 1 RWL700 - 1636 RWS700 - 6584 WL700 - 1627 WS700 - 13726
  11. It wouldn't fit in a B-61 but in a B-73,75 or 77 there'd be room.
  12. Mike Gully has a pretty sound company, you could do alot worse than working for him, even if they don't run any Macks.
  13. Just saw a NOS '82-'83 Cruiseliner cab on Ebay in case anybody is interested.
  14. Gary Mahan has restored an AB very similar to that one.
  15. If I remember right, that plastic trim piece has 4 studs, one in each corner, with nuts on the backside.
  16. They were "77" series transmissions with the "770" being overdrive,several different ones.The one I have in my B46 is a called 14 speed and I have a B42 with a 20 speed.
  17. You'll have to find a "baby quad" out of a B42.
  18. Coors Light.Used to drink alot of Old Milwaukee but not many places carry it around here anymore.
  19. Adding a new member to my working fleet, buying this 2001 CX613 for my son to drive.A little new for me,but it has a good background. My Dad ordered this truck new and traded in '06.Only one owner since.Just shy of 700k.460,13 speed,70 in.midrise,10 Alcoa Dura-brite wheels.
  20. I tried to start one a few years ago, didn't get much response, only 12 trucks or so.If anyone else wants to help or take over,I'll share what #'s I collected. If anyone is looking, there is a really clean looking 1961 G model water truck on Craigslist right now. It's in California.
  21. I'd never noticed the Bulldog on a C fire truck bumper, did they by chance use the same mount as the LT and C-600?
  22. The C-type fire trucks didn't have Bulldogs either,and I don't think the D-models did either.
  23. I just looked up my build records,there were only 1589 C models made.Here's 2 of mine,both are '65 C609T's
  24. Mack built boat engines way back.I just saw a 900 hp E9 V-8 marine diesel advertised on Craigslist.I'm not computer literate enough to post a link, but it was up in Maine.
  25. Sounds like your transmission is the TRTX670 10 speed overgear Triplex.I have the same trans. in 2 of my B-53's.
