  1. Is Barton still around? haven't seen their trucks at Walcott forever. I about pissed down my leg the year they brought this one.
  2. those old B cabs didn't survive well,mine never had a roof and it don't look like the other had much left either.
  3. I wish I had bought one of those tractors when they were being auctioned off years ago,most of the 1970 on down only brought $1000 to 1500.

You don't have to have steering axle brakes on any tandem axle tractor built before Jan.1.1979,if it were a single axle or a straight truck,you;d have to have them.the underslung ,or inverted Camelback was pretty popular spec for highway tractors in the time frame,was supposed to offer a softer ride than standard Camelback
  5. I'm not sure,but I thought I heard someone say this is one that Gary Mahan had for parts. I took these pics at the ATHS show in Springfield,MO. Nuss has another restored F I'm trying to find pics of.
  6. I was looking thru some pics on FB and found this. seems that there was another survivor of the fleet of BX Macks that were owned by the State of Iowa Highway Dept. besides the one I sold recently.. Even has same wheels.
  7. RD dump with the good hood,alum box and under 30k miles,someone got a helluva buy.
  8. A friend of mine used to have one of those Federal tractors,used to to move houses.Had a 150 hp HB600 Cummins and was geared for 28 mph. Tried real hard to buy it after he died,but it got away from me.

  11. Overdrive is .78 on the 12 speed,.71 on the 18 speed

  14. We just got thru putting new injectors in the '85 my son drives,E6-350 4 valve,didn't get crazy,got the biggest ones available from Mack,also turned the pump up a little. He says it runs like a totally different truck,gained 10 lbs. of boost,only ran 2 tanks of fuel thru it since,but seems to be doing better on fuel.

  16. I couldn't tell by the pics I got,most were of just the cab.
  17. I had several pics of that H69 sent to my phone,it is really picked over and rough,but I'd sure give it a home here if I could.
