  1. I'm going to put a set on this one if I ever get around to painting it,I've got 3 or 4 sets of them.
  2. looks like lots of good stuff there.
  3. for a time they did, then they went to 88 for the Econodyne version and 90 for the Maxidyne version.
  4. I've never heard of a aux. that would hinder speed? How are you shifting it? hi split(overdrive)should be towards the dash
  5. 4:17's with a straight 5 speed on 20" rubber will give you 62 mph at 2100 rpm,the tall rubber with gain you about 5-6 mph . so depending on the O.D. ratio of your aux.trans.,I'd say you'll have no trouble running at least 75
  6. Oddball yes,but a good truck. I'm not going to name names, but I had someone that sells alot of old Macks tell me once the only thing B53's were good for was to cut up for for the power steering and sheet metal. That didn't impress me much.
  7. I have some in my gallery and have alot of them in the BMT Registry,,maybe while I'm laid up I'll work on making an album.
  8. Unless something changes, I will be there Al.
  9. At one time I had 4 of them, all bought new by same company,2 1964's B53S1893 & 1894 and 2 1965's B53S3336(no longer have this one) and 3337,something else alot of B53's had was the rotary fuel pump instead of the traditional inline pump, the fuel tank was different, some were aluminum square step tanks, everyone I've ever seen has power steering.Alot of them also had the TRTX670 overgear trans.
  10. He's pretty much on target for price, those unibilt flat tops are a hot item among the red oval crowd, especially the small ones.
  11. Thanks for all the texts, calls, and well wishes, made it home,Lack of maintenance issues on my part, started getting bad last week of Nov. but I was trying to push thru till the 11th when the barges quit running and things sloowed down, but it didn't happen.Hard to get thru my thick skull that I ain't as tough as a old Mack anymore.
  12. have you tried Ebay? I know I've seen the real originals on there before
  13. doors are the same, thats it
  14. Truck is sold, staying in Iowa and going to a good home.
  15. That was always my all time favorite mudflap design, wish someone would make some new ones
  16. I think that was the final version of the 673,not sure on the years produced, but I'm sure they were rated at 200 hp.Seen a few single axle U and MC tractors from late '70's with that engine.
  17. Sorry Ass Rig ?
  18. Big old heavy beast, looks to be a LR
  19. Going to put an air ride single axle under it.
  20. Kumho's are a cheap tire to begin with,at most the casing will bring $40.I'd hate to give more than $500 and make sure they are less than 5 yrs.old because in that case, the casing is worthless to retreaders, and you should get them cheaper yet.
