  1. When/why did you swap cabs?
  2. Here you go. http://www.macktrucks.com/bornready
  3. Nope.Its a nice attempt,but no ways it's a Superliner.
  4. I've never seen a VIN on a Mack that even looks close to that
  5. yep,thats them.
  6. so you can walk into the DMV in NY state with a BOS and a pic of the VIN tag and they will give you a registration? Will this registration transfer into a title in another state that requires them?
  7. Is that one of Parker's old trucks?
  8. The R model belongs to a friend of mine from Mt.Pleasant,it's a 1980 R686 and was bought new and driven only by his Grandpa. After he died, they started using it a little more and dressed it up a little,it's still under 500k miles, super nice old truck. My 1st R model was his one of his Dad's old trucks. The Cruiseliner belongs to some friends of mine from Newton. They own Bisom Truck Line, a small fleet of Macks and have some for show only too. Doug Maney made 1st contact with me about trying to find trucks that fit what they were looking for so I gave him some names and these are what they picked.
  9. I know for a fact they had at least 4 days of filming, truthfully I really didn't know what to expect, but they did a good job. I would have hated to pay the food bill, the fed me 3 meals.

  11. Thats the way this Fontaine is mounted on my '70 RL763. I'd probably part with it if it's what you are looking for,i have plenty of other 5th wheels I can use.
  12. What Glenn said. I'd try the ones from PAI, I've used other parts from them and all have been good quality.
  13. Here's some I had in files, this shows a good view of the common Fontaine "No Slack" 5th wheel plate on my G73,only thing this one is a stationary mount if you look close, you can see the slide rails with holes on this Fontaine on my '71 R685. The latch was on the side and when in locked position it was at 12 o'clock and pulled back to about 2 o'clock to release.
  14. Fontaine 5th wheels were pretty common on Macks in this area. the slide rails on each side had holes and there were removable hinged pins you pulled out to slide them. Give me a day or 2 and I'll take some pics.
  15. http://www.ebay.com/itm/141809779918 Says freshly poured, maybe a new source for emblems?
  16. Wonder if the B61 will be for sale, too?
  17. The dealer here local (H&L Mack)sold to a larger dealer(Quincy Mack) in July. One of the first things they did was get H&L's old AB out of storage and get it running so they could take it out for shows. Made me feel really good about the change in ownership.
  18. I guess the new owners are not interested in Mack history. That's too bad.
  19. My uncle's '79 DM685S grain truck,doesn't have 200k on it yet.
  20. Most A51's I ever saw had the END510 diesel,most likely a 2 stick duplex or Monoshift
  21. when I was a kid I remember the local junkyard would pile 15 to 20 cars up and light them up. they had a big wooden keg in the office full of burnt change they'd dig out of the ashes.
  22. I was thinking the same thing, those don't look like 44's to me either
  23. I really don't think I can get good enough pics to show, but just picture your normal everyday steel MH/RW frame rail cut off under the cab, then they slid the aluminum rail inside and bolted it.
