  1. a 735 was code for one of the pre-E9 engines,736 must have been another version of the pre-E9
  2. that blue one of Kevin All's has always been one of my favorite B pickup conversions, only thing I'd change would be to use a Dodge chassis with a Cummins
  3. what's stamped on the frame and what does the engine tag say?
  4. Here's the Macks that were at our ATHS show today in Ottumwa,IA. Good turnout for a rainy day.BMT members had a good showing. Vic's sharp little B61 stakebed New member Jim's B61 winch truck Mikey drove the G73,one of our pig hauler friends took Super Mutt, and I took the RD rollback. Owners of this nice B61 stopped in for a visit, they were at the Vintage Power Wagon show in nearby Fairfield, they hauled 2 old Dodges from Ohio,They said they knew Freightrain. My hauler buddy Larry stopped in on his way home from Wyoming. His '97 CH is bumping 2 million miles. My friend Howard's '59 H67 After the show I went another 70 miles west to pick up this engineless R767 I had saved from getting scrapped out last year,it's been at another old truck guy's place for safe keeping.

  6. obviously designed by the same craftsman that filled in the sleeper cut out with a road sign
  7. good eye,I never looked that close at the engine pic,no ATAAC either. It's definitely older than '86,maybe it's a RWS797 ?
  8. Wow,somebody should be whipped for doing that to that truck.
  9. That old Transport looks good behind your F model. I'm only 80 miles from where they were made. I've got a '75 Transport grain trailer. They made livestock trailers and flatbeds too. They went out of business in the '70's I had 2 old LaCrosse lowboys, one was a '46 tandem with 9:00x15 tires, the load rating stamped on the factory tag said 26 ton. I hauled a D7 on it a few times with no problems. This trailer,by the way,was used by First Gear Co. as a pattern for their 1st 1/34th scale lowboy trailer replica. I sold it several years ago because it wasn't very handy to haul trucks. This one was a '53 with 7.50x15 tires and had a 20 ton rating, from the looks of it it had been overloaded alot, ended up scrapping this one. Couldn't find a home for it.
  10. I tried calling up there awhile back to see if he had any extra windshields,# for the shop has been disconnected.
  11. Thanks to some fellow ATHS members,I finally got this Ebay purchase home from Maine. AB Mack radiator.I can't say enough what a great bunch old truck guys are.
  12. Yes Mark,I think they really set it off. We kinda talked it over yesterday,I think the Texas bumper is going to come off and a polished original one is going on it.
  13. Weather was perfect. We drove them both over,Mikey drove the G because he fits behind the steering wheel better.
  14. Went to a little show in Galesburg,IL yesterday. Only 4 Macks,a few nce older trucks ,and some newer stuff. Both the Knox County Pork Producers and Cattleman's Assoc. were cooking out,so there was plenty of good food. A pair of Visions Super Mutt My G73 sporting it's "new"front wheels,a pair of freshly polished vintage 22.5 Alcoas. Finally got a license plate hanger on it too. Nice old original '72 White Freightliner,318 Detroit and factory Neway air ride. Sharp R190 IH This '73 KW K100 double bunk & nice '81 W900 belongs to a fellow livestock hauler Can't remember why I took a pc of this '97 W900L
  15. 88 is the code for the E6 350. Looks like a nice one, other than the torn seat, the interior looks really good.
  16. I got a buddy checking it out,he's been wanting something like it for awhile

  20. Today's "Saved from scrap Mack" . Picked it up about 35 miles south of home.'69 R685ST tractor, converted to a single axle and used as a field sprayer. It had a liquid tank with spray booms and big floater tires on it,rearend went out 15 years ago and been sitting behind a hog building since, was getting ready to be hauled in for scrap, but lucky for it and me,someone mentioned to the farmer he should call me 1st. Cool art work on the hood, and original Mack key still in the ignition. It's got sticks, too.
  21. Hope everyone has a good time, take lots of pics for us at home. If anyone should run across a raditor cap for an AB in the vendor area, please let me know.
