  1. it had the red cloth Level IV interior panels before,I just like the old diamond tucked look myself, more old fashioned, like me.
  2. Kenny Hubka just posted this pic on my facebook,he takes great pics.
  3. Got these from Alex G . I always liked these door panels better than the later Level IV trim.My drivers door panel has a gouge from the window crank when I bought the truck that always bugged the hell out of me,and the right side had holes from a removed electric window motor .Color matched up good,I think. Someday I'll get the red cloth headliner and back panel custom done to match, for now I don't think it looks bad.
  4. It's not looking good at all for me going either, now. Looks like the only thing from my place going to York will be some parts.
  5. guess if anybody wants to see the old RL tugging the sled they can check out Facebook, the kid posted a couple there for me.
  6. I tried that too, ain't technologically advanced enough I guess.
  7. got a couple videos of the truck pull but it won't let me load them here, any hints??
  8. Yep,same one, they still have it.Just as nice and completely unchanged in appearance from way back then, they did pull the 711 and put in a 237 way back when it was still running the road daily.
  9. That hood is a modified EHU or EQU hood, you can see were the removable side panels used to be.
  10. Truck show and pull tomorrow night and Sat.at Earlville,IA,decided to take the V8 RL up and hook to the sled. Got her all loaded up,Mikey hooked onto it and just left,he gets to goof off at the show while I work, but I'm going up to pull the V8 when I get done trucking. That damn thing sat in the front yard since early fall, aired it up and hit the plunger and it fired like I'd just shut it off .
  11. That truck was on an auction in either northern IA or southern MN 5 or so years ago. someone brought a pic of it to one of our local ATHS chapter meetings to show me,I later learned it sold to someone that intended to preserve it. I don't remember all the details, but it is mostly L model Mack.As I recall it belonged to a house mover.
  12. If the turbo engine is original,it's really special, they only made 16
  13. Isn't a MLR the one that they used the 500 series Brockway cab on ?? Like Jim said, the 6 means it's a model 600,86 is the code for a ENDT676 Maxidyne engine,R is right hand drive,ST dual drive tractor
  14. good to see you are still kicking,Tom,call me sometime
  15. That's a cool old Western 700.Looks to be an early one. Never seen front hubs like that on a Western.
  16. It's been sold to Casey's General Stores,a big convenience store chain here in the midwest . It's closed right now for remodeling. The old owner called me about a month ago and asked if I wanted to buy the trailers for storage, as he didn't want to have to mess with moving them.Actually, other than this last one being in a plowed field and parked too close to the ditch, they weren't bad getting moved, considering they been there close to 15 years.I probably didn't have 3 hours total involved between the 2,not too bad, considering I don't move near as fast as I used to, I've had alot worse trailer moves.
  17. you better kick that red oval's ass !
