  1. Good luck,I'd like to see someone in here get it.
  2. yeah,right. Maybe 10 years ago they woulda,not anymore,too old,obsolete.
  3. pretty cool ain't it? That would be one to either get running and leave as is or restore it with the mods left in place, maybe a little better hood. Can't beat the price, either.

  5. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/grd/4930884902.html Anyone ever heard of a L10 in a RD ????
  6. That ain't too bad,we used to run some Dunlops back in the bias ply days. Trailer tires were cheap, but weren't worth a shit, either. The only steer tire I ever had blow out on me was a Dunlop bias ply. Did run one set of radials and they did ok,until we capped them. I'm sure they've improved since then, that was 30 yrs. ago.

  8. They looked like they were good shape,I bet they are light, too. be excellent grain tractors.
  9. We used to just put the sleeves in an old freezer overnite.
  10. Yes it is,I've been within 1/4 of a mile of it 100's of times and just found it today.
  11. I think you might have something there,I'm definitely going to try and get closer to it,had my grandson with me,plus didn't have permission so I didn't venture past the ditch.
  12. some old Celli RB's for sale http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/4900073340.html
  13. No trucking today so spent most of it babysitting my grandson,no teddy bears or Tonka trucks for this kid Then we went for a little drive to check out an old Mack in the woods sighting . I'd heard rumors of it for awhile, but never could pin it down. Definitely going to have to track down the property owner. Then stopped and picked up this donation to my "better not throw that away just yet " pile. Friend of mine got stuck and the guy pulling him out backed up too far,so he got a new hood.It might provide some good patch pieces someday.
  14. That's too bad he didn't like it,looked damn good for the money to me. Running E9 ,12 speed Superliner bunk truck on air for under 10k, hard to beat that.
  15. The 2004 Vision my brother had was so bad, Mack finally bought it back. for that reason alone,I wouldn't touch an '04 Vision with a 10 ft. pole. Alot of heat related issues,it melted coolant tanks and hoses, even caught fire once,I lost track after the 12th turbo. Sad part is that even knowing it's history, they took it to Chicago and resold it(Mack, not the local dealer). It showed up a few years later at a repo auction and a company that a friend of mine in Big Rock,IL drives for bought it. He knew it was my brothers old one because it still had an old inspection sticker with our name on it. They ended up not keeping it long, who knows whose headache it is now.
  16. If it was purchased for off road use and never titled I don't think they could charge the excise tax. I remember Tom Farland of the former F&W Mack telling me a similar story about a large bunch of DM's that he had sold to Mannatt's .They had used them a few years as site trucks, then later needed to put some on the road, and had to cough up the tax once they titled them.
  17. good luck ! how about some pics of the ones you have?
