  1. It's just too bad they didn't bring back the old hood for that final run. I just never could grow to like the revamped RD look. Yeah it was better than the looks of a CH,but that really ain't saying much.
  2. Lucky for it and its stablemates the scrapper that the grandkids of the owner hired to clean out the barn had a sense of values and took the trucks home to resell instead of scrapping them.
  3. That ain't no run of the mill RD,thats one of the R model "Legend" series. That should bring some serious bucks . I wonder if George Tackaberry knows about it, low and zero mile unused trucks are kinda his thing from what I've read about his collection.
  4. 1962 V190 IH I just found for my friend Howard. Been hiding in a barn since 1980. He'd like to find a sunvisor for it if anybody knows of one.
  5. only thing I see that would be iffy is the light front axle, but if you hauled smaller loads that wouldn't hurt anything
  6. If you get it bought, don't bring back any of that white stuff.
  7. Anyone remember who made these?? Hadn't seen one for 20 years or better. I remember they had a fyler about them at our local dealer and the parts man just gave it to me and said "you might as well have this,we'll never sell one". They were around $900 at the time if I remember right. I've got the top piece for one I bought at the Vitalis' auction several years ago. Pic stolen from FB.
  8. Anybody else see this? Wish I had a dozen of them to sell. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261777861158?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  9. Keep the R and sell the B to Matt. That would look perfect painted green and black parked next to his B613
  10. $2500. Paint was from NAPA. That included fixing where the mudflaps had wore into the backside of the fenders, and one other minor crack in the hood.
  11. Check out his gallery pics, there's before during and after pics.
  12. He's in FL right now,if you want,I can pm you his contact info.
  13. they are pretty much the same size, you would just have to modify the bottom for the different way a B model lid latches and hinges.
  14. Here's a better pic of their R model wrecker,it's a real horse for sure. They also used this old White Construcktor to help drag the trailer and keep it from tipping. Just for the record, these guys were 40 miles away, there's another wrecker outfit that was only 3 miles from where I went in. When the law showed up and I told them I had Newberry's coming,he asked why I didn't call the local guy. After all was done, the deputy came up to me and said, now I now why you called these guys.
  15. Winter got the best of me yesterday a.m. Roads were a complete glare of ice. Tried to stop to avoid a spun out pickup crossways in the road at the bottom of a hill in front of me,ended up in the ditch with a load of hogs.
  16. are those brackets different or is it just the angle of the pic?
  17. '85 was the year they went to the 4V heads,I wonder if what he has was a glider kit?
  18. R model battery boxes make an excellent replacement, same size and the bolt holes line right up.
