  1. In other words,Johnny Cash specials,Mexican style.
  2. engage power divider, all will be fine.
  3. You bought Crouse's B71,I'm guessing? Beautiful truck,congrats. Call me anytime,319-759-1776
  4. I think '83 was the 1st year. The MH I traded to Jake was a '83 and it had a T2100. My '82's all have the TRDL1070.
  5. Looks like a R700 with a Superliner hood adapted to it.
  6. Don't worry, none of my Macks will be sold for scrap while I'm above ground. I wouldn't even sell a parts truck to anyone that wouldn't keep the carcass around til all was used up.
  7. Evidently not just in NY,Ernie, all my Western 70's are super short, too, and they were all delivered to the midwest when new.
  8. They were different than the regular Western 700's in that not only did they have the long hood, the cowl was also extended. There were 3 RL771's built, from 1970 to 1972 and 7 RS771's built from 1970 to 1973. There were also 12 FL771's and 25 FS771's built from '66 to 75 and believe it or not,25 WL771 Cruiseliners built.
  9. Here you go,Mike. It's alot whiter right now,though.
  10. 2 457's for parts,a 358,and I might let the 759 get adopted.
  11. you can get the extendable arms at Iowa 80,the are stainless, don't know about the rectangular mirrors.
  12. it was still up on CL last week
  13. I know I'll get lynched, but that would look so sweet with 4 more feet of frame and a polished Mercury bunk
  14. jettertrucks,if you are parting that AB out, would you sell the fenders and running boards?
  15. Wonder where that truck went to,haven't seen any recent pics.
  16. Pretty damn cool stuff if you ask me.
  17. Maybe someday you can get it back,Al.
  18. Nothing to be sorry about, like I said,it's not a "have to". Just thought if I could thin out a dozen or 2,I wouldn't need to borrow as much to get a building. Right now,as long as we are running a Cruiseliner and the Superliners, none of those are for sale.keeping all my Western Macks,FS's and RS/RL's too. I think I did find a decent dash section for you though, things get thawed out I will get it out and send you a pic if you still need it.
  19. I've come to the decision that I'm not going to spend another winter without a nice warm shop to work in. Spending all day Monday getting my doors to open, trailer brakes working, removing ice and snow off my tarp so it would roll, and getting my 5th wheel to latch had alot to do with this decision.Guess I'm getting too old to freeze my ass off doing this stuff anymore. So I'm going to start selling off some stuff. It's nothing I have to do,but if I get the right price and know they will go to a good home,I will let them go. Going to start with my '41 EQUT sleeper cab tractor,my '47 LTSW serial #1001 and my W71T. If there's anybody in here seriously looking for a rare truck to restore, any of these 3 fit the bill. So,if anyone wants to make a genuine offer on any or all, contact me. I also have 10 or a dozen B models,2 A54T's,some E's,a LF sleeper cab tractor and a few R and F models that should go too. They range from runners to parts. We'll see how this goes, maybe more later.
  20. Looked like he had more stuff in the background. Too bad he didn't want to deal.
  21. use a RH one and flip it
  22. good move,Jake
  23. good deal, glad to see someone in here get it
  24. If I remember right,OD ratio in the 12 speed was .78 , I think there was a direct version too,but have never seen one in the flesh. Personally,I liked the 2 stick version better, just for the simple reason it had 2 sticks, even though you hardly ever used the other,I just liked seeing it there. I've driven both kinds and as far as shifting, there was no difference.
  25. I bought this partially restored 1925 AB cab & chassis a little over a year ago. I know it was advertised and placed on Ebay on and off for at least 2 years prior to me buying it. First time I saw it they were asking $8000,I bought it for $3500. I bought this other 1925 AB for the price of scrap at the time,$400 . Alot depends on where you are and of course how bad you want it. I'd say start around $2000 and go from there.Hope that gives you a rough Idea.
