  1. I don't know which is better, for me in a hobby truck packed bearings are fine, but I still prefer oil bath in my working trucks. I think the main reason they are going to the sealed hubs is because of todays new breed of steering wheel holders, they are either too damn lazy or too dumb to check oil levels in the hubs.
  2. Whoever you sell it to make sure you make them swear to leave the bunk on it.
  3. Is that IH V8 for sale,I've got a friend looking for one of those.
  4. I just sent my last extra unbroken set to SC. They weren't the best, but in one piece. Would a multipiece set work?
  5. looks like a B67 to me,only thing off about the hood I see is that someone put the newer half dogs on it.
  6. It's got a 6 speed,right? Pretty close to 67 at 2400 on 20" rubber,I'd guess without doing the math.
  7. I've been out there, just been along time.
  8. all one piece, rears, springs and trunion,no frame rails, tires single out
  9. Yeah,I'd be getting them off,Larry, all 3 tires that failed were Yokohama casings, and all were casing failure, not the retread coming off.
  10. He's gonna love that on his cabover.Hope they smooth out quick.
  11. My plans are never definite until 30 minutes before I leave. One of the many disadvantages to being self employed . We just trying to find a for sure ride for them.
  12. the Firestones I bought for the steer were just shy of $900 for the pair,FET and state sales tax included. I went cheap on the drives,$2350 for all 8,they are Chinese, hope they work out. Didn't have to use chopstix to mount them,so maybe they will be ok
  13. Can't afford anymore kids,Larry.
  14. Mikey had another recap blow out on the Cruiseliner Tuesday nite, this makes # 3,so I ordered 8 new tires for it,picked them up yesterday and got 4 for the inside mounted last nite, now all I gotta do is mount 4 on his aluminum rims tomorrow. I just got him a new set of steers 2 weeks ago, spending money on your kids never ends,I guess.
  15. the rear ends are here at my place, they need a ride to PA to Dodgeman's.
  16. that would look good in the Keystone Museum
  17. Your right,it was on Truckpaper. It's in fact a R700 with the Superliner cab and hood.Cummins power if I remember right.
  18. Mikey got these LED ones at Iowa 80 and made angled spacers out of rubber for the, worked perfect.
  19. looks pretty solid, back of cab looks real nice.
  20. Earlier this year there was a red Superliner with a rollback on CL priced in the teens, really nice looking truck.Might even have been on Ebay too, same deal, someone bought it jumped the price over 10K and relisted it,maybe the same guy?
  21. could be,I'm sure if you ever saw them once, you would have remembered Mattson's fleet,4 or 5 very tired old White Freightliner COE's and one old '74 R686 with equally tired old pots. About a year before he sold out,the MH Freedom showed up,it musta been 8 to 10 yrs old at the time, but it was definately the star of his fleet. Used to see them in Joslin at least twice a week.
