  1. our local Mack dealer had a Mack Jr. firetruck back in the late 70's,early 80's,lost track of it when they sold it. Can't be too many of them were made.
  2. I'm starting to feel a little better, sounds like several found safe homes instead of going to scrap.
  3. Thanks again Jim,that is truly sad. I was seriously considering having an auction, but after seeing this, that won't happen in my lifetime. I'll just sell my stuff privately as I can and the damn doctors can pound sand.
  4. I sure hope you left a 0 off the end of that price.
  5. Thanks Jim,hopefully they went to good homes. If you have anymore prices wrote down, would love to see what some of the rest brought.
  6. Thanks for posting those, wish I coulda been there, bargains for sure. Did you get price on the D and the H models ?
  7. I have one, can't remember if it's for right or left door.
  8. they used to make them for B models
  9. Anyone go to big auction today in NH that could share some pics & prices ?
  10. I've never seen a cab like that, wonder if its been shortened or did Mack offer a short bunk MH cab?
  11. I've been told many times I'm obsolete, guess that's why I like it so much, wonder if the guy would take 2 old rusty R's in trade for that one since he's gonna scrap it anyway? It would be cool as hell to have it parked next to my R795 and R761 at a show, with all 3 hoods tipped,
  12. somebody really needs to step up and buy that R773, it looks complete and pretty much unmolested, looks to be in decent shape, too, and it's such an early one, serial # 1007.I sure wish things were different here, makes me sick I can't even think of buying it,I've been wanting a Detroit powered Mack forever.
  13. Thats the dealer #
  14. did they put the 1091 in firetrucks too or just the 935? my type 21 L model has the 935 Hall Scott
  15. how about all those that say they have or have driven a 300+ with a 5 speed.,If I only had a dollar for every argument I've gotten into over that claim.
  16. Pretty sure this one is 2nd one built. No. 1 LT should look this good or better when the new owners get it done.
  17. 1091 c.i.d, 400 hp on butane, big power for those days. Yes,they were factory option.

mislabeled or modified one of the 2,definately not Mack rears
  19. 522 built from'53 to '58,I have 3 of them, there used to be a showroom restored green one with integral sleeper here in Iowa,it went to SC I think. Did this truck comeout of Mander's yard in Lakeville?
  20. That truck was in Des Moines, too.
  21. G models are cool trucks, don't get me wrong,I love mine, but F models drove better in my opinion, more comfortable too. F models were a helluva lot easier to get in and out of too.
  22. I have a photographer friend that stops by to take pics ,always brings models with him.
