  1. I'll find out Rick,he said he had a few for sale. He might have a tandem.
  2. He neglected to put a price in his email,I will find out.
  3. Doug Fetterly ask me to post that he has some old SS Fruehauf's for sale. He's currently on winter break in FL,but if anyone is interested,pm me and I will get you in touch with him. He also is producing these nice SS Mack battery box lids for sale.
  4. It looks solid, hope it all looks that good in person. It will go to good use,the cab on my '69 RL739 is pretty rough and it has the wrong hood,so this was a good purchase for me,but I would have much rather seen it stay whole.
  5. http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/hvo/4798643786.html ad says it's on Camelback, but from the looks of the axles,it doesn't appear to have Mack rears.
  6. thats kinda what I was thinking,I know my 1st Superliner was a '85 RW613-001114 and my green one that Dad got new in '85 is RW613-001243. This RW612 I found on CL is no longer a single axle, but looked to be in nice shape.
  7. Did they start with 1001 for each individual model on the '81 on up Macks that have these modern VIN #'s like they did with the old system,or did they start with 0001? I always assumed, which I know you shouldn't do,that they did start with 1001. Can anyone confirm this? Main reason I'm asking is I located a '85 RW612 and the last 4 numbers is 1001,which I would guess to be 1st one off the line.
  8. previous owner did that to Super Mutt, too.Never had trouble with any of my others.
  9. I thought it looked like your truck had all its emblems. The Bulldogs should still be available from Mack, but if not, they are on Ebay all the time.,so are the MACK letters. The F700 will be very hard to find.
  10. the missing door and the steps behind the front fenders is a big disappointment, but I'm going to go ahead and take it,I guess.this kinda shit is what keeps me broke.
  11. the way she talked it had been this way for awhile, told me yesterday it was buried under some pallets, but she'd get it uncovered and send me fresh pics of it.Said they'd had it quite awhile.
  12. It was sold under "Cash for Clunkers " can you believe that shit? I'm pretty sure I have it bought, but it will not have a drivetrain,it will be a glider kit.
  13. Shame for sure,I seem to remember it from either CL or Ebay. There's a special place in hell for people that do that to Macks.
  14. when using the standard rubber boot, you need to allow for slack by using extra material and not stretching it tight, but it will still eventually wear out. The one on my Dad's old Superliner lasted about 10 years.
  15. openings should line up,. Able Body used to offer an accordian type boot that allowed for extra movement of the cab,but they are out of business and I don't know where you could find one unless it would be from a dealer that installed pickup toppers/campers.
  16. At least Iowa's Gov. had all the flags flying at half mast to honor the day
  17. You should have bought the damn thing then. It was on Ebay and Truck Paper for quite awhile. Might be a very proud new owner over there waiting to give it a good home, you never know.
