  2. Trying out my pic scanning skills. This is really my first official revenue earning truck,as my first truck burnt before I got to pull a load with it. 1967 F611ST,673C with a 15 speed Triplex,4:50's on Camelback. 144"w.b.,no p/s,no ac,no heat,no upholstery, Gave $975 for it on a farm auction and drove it home with no brakes, fixed some broke air lines, put new steer tires and the chrome stack of my burnt B61 on it and went truckin'. 18 yr. old kid with a 18 yr. old truck. I was loading seed corn, picked in the ear,for Pioneer seed. Trailer was a '75 Trailmobile 40' open top. This was my old rollback truck,1970 Chevy C50,Having the front wheels in the air was pretty common with some of the stuff I winched on it.Here I was unloading my '74 MB685T I'd just bought.
  3. Wasn't there an electronic version of the E9 built for Australia,610 hp ?
  4. How much for radiator guard, front hub caps, radiator cap and clip, and door tag?

  6. Pic stolen from FB . Is this one of your old ones,Ron?
  7. I hate those old rear spokes with the 5/8" studs, which in fact were square headed bolts stuck in from the back and held in place with a cotter pin. Yes they were a piece of cake to replace, but more than once they given me fits when the old cotter pin has rusted away and the whole thing starts spinning when you are taking off a tire.
  8. A late friend of mine had one just like that only it had a 1673 Cat with a 2 stick 4x4. Ran like a top, rust free cab. I had picked up a steel hood and grille shell for him so he could convert it,but he never got around to finishing it. Unfortunately at the time of his auction,I was super broke, and it went to a scrapper for $700.
  9. my '62 aluminum Autocar, cab, doors, frame, hood, radiator, bumper and grille guard, fuel tanks and battery box lids, all aluminum.
  10. Oh I had lots of interest until it came time to writing a check.
  11. I had one of those too, tried forever to find a home for it,only one that wanted it was the scrapper.
  12. The white sleeper headliner was a Able Body thing,I've seen a few,my '86 included with white headliners in the bunk.
  13. do you have anyone local that does machine polishing? They can make a pretty crappy wheel look near new.
  14. I doubt it,but if they would,I'd get my MH Magnum in the shop tomorrow and start working on it.
  15. outside, you might have to scrape a little paint to find it,sometimes it got stamped a little light.
  16. My buddy Larry had 1.7 million on his '97 E7-427 when it finally went down. Never had the heads or pan off. He bought the truck new and has been the only driver.
  17. For sale It is an original Mack Magnum 1985 It has a 12 speed in now but I have the original 9 for it. And yes Newway air ride Original miles no over hauls it has just been used for county fairs pulling and for show. 18. here you go http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Rostand-Pirsch-Mack-12in-Fire-Truck-Engine-Bell-/201224337674?pt=BI_Security_Fire_Protection&hash=item2ed9e7b90a
  19. Several years ago, when they were closing up Broderick's Truck Salvage near Dixon,IL (40 acres of some really cool old stuff,1000 + trucks of all kinds) I saw them destroy a low mile, ex-military, sleeper cab GMC 7000 twin screw tractor in really nice shape, just to get the V12 out of it. They grabbed it with an excavator with a claw, shook it till the cab finally let loose from the frame, then cut the frame and front axle off. Real shame, but nobody wanted the truck, just the engine. Wasn't the only cool truck that they destroyed.
