  1. glass must be an option over there
  2. glad to hear my mind isn't totally gone
  3. my sympathies to you.
  4. There is alot of mis information on wiki. The right engine is a NTC400,although I would think being a '78 it would be a big cam 1 or 2. I'm not up on all the Cummins CPL numbers, the engine in my '86 is a Big Cam 4 CPL676.
  5. I have a couple that have a ether pill canister in place of that plug. The top comes off,you dropped in a foil pack "pill" and pushed the cap back on,it would pierce the foil pack and release the ether.
  6. what does your canister look like, some used a Luberfiner 500C,,I'd say being only 10" high, that's what you have
  7. not being a hunter,I've never weighed one,but I've drug a few out of the road.About like dragging a dead hog,350# or so,I'm sure some are bigger and some smaller.
  8. as long as you call the law and they have to call the DNR and by the time all that transpires, the buzzards have it half eaten
  9. Sure wish you deer hunters would lobby for year round hunting until these 4 legged bastards were extinct. My once perfect hood and bumper on my RD. Coulda been alot worse I know, but still pisses me off. Ever seen deer fur stuck in the bead of a tire? Knocked off 2 lugnut covers and bent another. SOB even shit on my "new used" aluminum battery box lid.
  10. accessory relay probably went bad
  11. I've seen old pics somewhere of a Texaco AC with the same emblem in place of the traditional Mack logo.
  12. Was it an old Texaco truck?
  13. Here is the Superliner he sold. Mike still has one Superliner,a single axle wrecker. He also has a B67 with a rollback on it and these monster tri axle wreckers. I'm not sure how many B models he still runs, but they are all repowered and will run.
  14. I had a '55 REO with the Gold Comet engine, sold it several years ago.
  15. a F model cabbed Hayes would be a helluva score, keep us posted.
  16. They were 702 cu.in.,basically two 351 V6's
  17. I'll do some digging,I have pics of the AC before they restored it,it was really rough but it still ran. The Brockway has belonged to them for a very long time,so has the AB and trailer.
  18. 1912 Mack Jr. 1937 AC 1923 AB 1963 B61 1946 Brockway
  19. It's been a long time, but didn't the gaskets come with the filters,or did they quit doing that.?
  20. That really, really sucks. Believe me I know. Only difference is I spent 4 years and every dime I had restoring my 1st B61 and then our shed burnt .It was burnt much worsre than yours, all 8 rear tires burnt .Not one damn dimes worth of insurance, either. I still have it,though, couldn't part with it.
