  1. I forgot about the EB and EC . I let a NJU get away from me about 15 yrs. ago,it was a tad rough but complete,it was in a old truck parts/salvage yard near Dixon,IL that was bought out by a scrapper, over 40 acres of trucks from 20's to the 70's. There were many that didn't get saved that should have, but lack of funds only allowed me to get a handful.
  2. Send me some pics when you are done, that sounds very interesting.
  3. If that one is the worse of the 2,I'd love to see pics of the other. I've seen pics of others, and that's the nicest one I've seen to date. That same basic cab was used on the early C series and also the military NJU and NMU trucks of WW2 vintage.
  4. loos like a LMU,could very well be a 1950. That is an amazing find.
  5. in this area,40' containers are $3500 to $4500 plus delivery. I gave $2200 for a roadworthy '87 Fruehauf 48'x102",nice and dry, slider, budd wheels ,with near new tires, off brand but no caps about 2 months ago,and just got this old 40' for $1000,good ,dry trailer also, but just had 4 tires,1 new cap, other 3 were 25 %.
  6. I hope those are cheaper out your way than they are here. I'd like to have some of those myself, but you can almost buy 3 trailers for what they want for one container
  7. it's a Mack
  8. I'll post pics when it's sitting in my driveway.
  9. Well,I guess I jumped the gun,but I was pissed.Just got off the phone with seller and we worked things out. So,we'll see what happens, but as of right now,the deal is back on.
  10. Just had a deal about like Paul's. Called on a truck last night, owner and I made a deal, told him I'd send a down payment and have it pick up within 2 weeks, agreed on everything, then get a text 5 min. ago,he sold the truck to someone else for $500 more. Texted and called back and he won't answer back. About ready to drive to MN with my baseball bat.
  11. I was just making sure you were paying attention, you know I was just pulling your leg a little. I would love to have that green U795,but I got something else in the works.
  12. Nice EF by the way, hope you leave that box on it.
  13. They are hard to come by,somemany got broken from people stealing the Bulldogs. Watch Ebay, they turn up from time to time, but be prepared to spend at least $200.
  14. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I could just find someone that wanted to buy my old black '65 U609,but nobody seems to want it either.
  15. Where in LA are you located?
  16. 79-80 was really the official production of the big V8 engines, they had versions from 360 to 400 hp ,although there were some prototypes earlier. 81-82 they started calling them E9's and had a 400 and a 440 hp version, then in '85 they bumped the 440 to 450 hp and added the 500 hp. E9 . Much better engine than the earlier V8's You still have your Superliner? I remember it being on Ebay but didn't know if it ever sold.
  17. nothing more aggravating than those small engines, best thing they ever did for me was to start putting electric starters on the grain augers so at least I didn't have to yank on the damn rope 20 times to get them to start. I'd like to have a $1 for everyone of those ropes I've pulled right out of the recoil.
  18. the 44k rears also have the cone shaped axle caps, which it does look like yours has. We truly do have almost twins,my RD was also a glider,RD3802. Had a hard time with my insurance gal,she said the company claimed it had a invalid VIN. I explained the glider kit thing to her,and all is well now.. Luckily, whoever built mine also put the serial number tag off the truck it was kitted from, Haven't had to order any parts for it yet,but it will be handy if I ever do.
  19. I've got this one of a '07 CHN,would it work for you. Had this little scuff and my kid HAD to have a new . No leaks,no corrosion,13"x30",one port in frt.,2 on side and 6 in rear. I give a little over $500 for the new one, make me an offer.
  20. What other stuff you having made for Superliners? I've still got a couple new sets of hood guards I got from Bores, but I might be needing a pair or 2 later on .
  21. yeah I know. the LH mirror ain't even a Mack mirror, they just stuck a Bulldog on it. I'll probably put a set of the regular old Mack mirrors on it,like them better anyway
  22. Pretty quiet week Hauled last load of tractors from auction, these are 2 I bought,Farmall F20 and a Oliver 77 Row Crop. Picked up a new storage trailer cheap, pretty straight old '72 Fruehauf 40 ft. I'll have it full of Mack parts in a week or so if I don't get busy hauling new crop corn. Load for the scrap yard tomorrow.
  23. None of my G literature shows 2 sleeper sizes, just one,but I swear I've seen at least one other that looked like it had a short bunk, but like Dan's pics, the angle makes it hard to tell.
