  3. Here's an old '40's Fruehauf I used to have.I had a mid '60's Fruehauf and earlier '70's one too,but can't find any pics. I just don't remember Fruehauf having that slight angle at the front .

  5. Durabrites on the rear and and running alot gravel roads don't work well, that might be why. The gravel dust and small rocks rolling around in the wheel ruins the finish.

  9. I wonder if Iowa 80 bought it? That is a pretty special truck.
  10. It was a local grain truck as far back as I can remember. Another farmer bought it 2 or 3 years ago,and didn't like driving it,no P/S and he couldn't shift it,so he took the box off and put on a R model.
  11. Finally got this home today. '66 IH DCF400-104,8V71 with a 2 stick 4x4,air start.
  12. 1943 was a war year and it wouldn't have had any chrome.
  13. Don't feel lonely. I went to load my G model to take to Springfield and someone had cleaned out my chain boxes on my drop deck,12 older chains,4 brand new chains,4 new ratchet binders,10 or a dozen old binders,8 brand new used once 30' ratchet straps,6 older straps,at least 25 tarp straps,a set of OD signs and 6 flags. Only thing they left was a broken ratchet,my old alum. pipe cheater bar and a pair of jumper cables.
  14. Stoughton hoppers are making a comeback
  15. wear resistant and unbreakable, you can bet Volvo shit canned that design.

  18. look underneath,is the stick bolted to a stub shaft on top of trans. or does it go directly into the transmission?

  20. That is a B67,look at the short hood and fenders, however, the concave cab could be ordered on the B61 and several others.
  21. Still kicking myself in the ass for letting one of those NJU's go . I just couldn't scrape up the extra $1000 at the time, they were crushing out a 40 acre yard of nothing but trucks near Dixon,IL about 20 years ago,I did save a G753,a B20,a N61,a EGU,and a load of loose parts. I wasn't too concerned as I thought someone else was going to buy it,but it ended up crushed by mistake as did quite a few others.
