  1. Mikey and Travis got the dual pipes on the Cruiseliner finished up,shouldn't smoke up the trailer now. and we got the G model back home from the hospital today. What started out to be a simple front hub swap turned into a long stay at Southside Repair, but we got aluminum wheels on the front now,and....... new starter, alternator, clutch, bellhousing, and flywheel.
  2. Plainfield,NJ is what most of the door tags on the later ones I've seen, before that,NY,NY.
  3. I have 2 wrecks that are pretty well stripped, but I will look to see if either has them left.
  4. That thing is a true beast, almost a toss up whether to restore or leave as is. I've got a couple of those grilles someplace,I was told the were to protect the radiators from stone damage.
  5. my son swapped mine over in the '86. got everything he needed at Iowa 80.
  6. Starting number woulda been 1001 . I'm with the others,it musta been cut down to a single axle sometime in it's life.
  7. I have 4 of them,might even have a spare battery cover.
  8. Don't like them either,we've got budd hubbs to put on the rear but I told him we had to run those tires out first so he could leave them on or take them off and paint the spokes up nice. Don't know what he's going to do,.
  9. I remember that Federal from a WOT cover and articles some years back. That Stude has gotta be a rare one.
  10. The A54 was pretty low production as far as A models go,only 864 built,so it would be a good save.
  11. Not loud at all, but I'm probably not the guy to ask, because I drive with my radio off and right window down just to listen better.
  12. Congratulations, it's fun for awhile.
  13. Getting closer. Just for the record,a RH stack bracket can be modified to use on the LH side, but it's not a 15 minute job by any means.
  14. Damn nice,it's got offbreed rears, and the KW bumper would have to go. Looks like someones change the front hubs, too unless my eyes are playing tricks, those look like hub pilot wheels.
  15. no,they are steel,I'm pretty sure it was a cost issue, lot cheaper to stamp out a steel door than make one of "Maxi-glass".
  16. its alive, well and still in Iowa, now owned by the Crouse Bros. I was lucky enough to get to drive it a few years ago at a show, was all I could do to get wedged in behind the steering wheel.
  17. low miles,E9, 12 speed,$20k easy
  18. The '83 I sold Jake had single rounds.
  19. probably low mileage being it was a lowboy tractor.
  20. I gotta say,I'm impressed how well the starter system holds air.Just got back from getting some Cummins parts for the G model,(bell housing ended up being cracked),thought I'd see if it would start as I hadn't touched it since Monday night. Sure enuff, one hit and she was running.
  21. mine is a 325,still looking for a 375
  22. That looks homemade. Do yourself a favor and go with CH step mounts, not only are the stronger, the bottom step will stick out a little farther, making climbing out a little better,in my opinion. If your foots ever slipped on a wet bottom step and scraped your shin, you will understand .
