  1. Tks Mike, that just what I was thinking, using a sawzall since the cab and the rest of the truck is to far gone.Been sitting 20+ years.
  2. How hard is it to remove the radiator shell and the two light panels from a b model.Truck is going to the scrapper,so I don’t have to be real neat.Looking to make some wall art.
  3. Here’s a truck you may be interested in.It’s a 2007,600,000 miles,425 hp,eastern fuller transmission.One owner, has all service records
  4. If I had somewhere to store these trucks I would take them and strip them of anything good then scrap the rest. The one does have a good cab, fenders, hoods. You could probably get them for $1,000 for all of them.If anyone is interested I know the fellow that is in charge of getting rid of them. I think they have a few more in other locations.I am going to try and get one of the radiator shells to have as shop wall art.
  5. I have gone and looked at the trucks. They are for the most part trucks, the one is a b63 that does have a good cab on it.I have included a few pictures. If anyone is interested in any of the trucks you may get your self a deal, since they will be going to scrap. One is a dump as you can see, another is a single axle tractor, third one was a water truck.
  6. My 64 b87 with a 335 Cummins,tr1310 transmission tops out at 72mph,ratio is 9.10.I know this to be true cause a pa state trooper nailed me at that and I was flat out pedal to the floor.By the way I had a d9 with the blade and ripper still on.
  7. Who is going to pay for the forgiveness of student loans? We are the working class. What does this dip shit do going forward, with student loans just make college education free for everyone.
  8. Great photos and story Vlad.
  9. Wish you all the luck,great truck to start with.Mine a 79.
  10. 1958 F.W.D.,I remember both those tow trucks and the gulf station that had them.My dad and Chuck were friends. It still there just ran by his boys.
  11. We always had the whole truck painted red.
  12. Best of luck, will keep you in my prayers.
  13. Other dog, never heard of the gout being anywhere but the feet.I’m by no means a doctor, but is he sure it the gout.Justa side note my mom had surgery on her eye and she complained about it for close to a year that it felt like something was in it,the surgeon keep telling her it was nothing, she see’s his partner and he said she had an in grown hair pull it out and no more problems.
  14. I wonder what this great country will be like in the next few years?
  15. Tjc,I can only hope you’re right.
  16. Yes,I do know a fellow by the name of blackie,he works for Jack rich.
  17. Enough said, take the plunge. My only suggestion would be to try and get something a little newer.Unless you really know the history of the truck, you may be buying a pig with a whole lot of perfume spayed on.Good luck my friend.
  18. The more I think about what you are planning on doing the more I’m gonna say don’t do it.You are talking about using a antique for every day use.Unless you are a mechanic or at the very least very mechanical you may be in for more than you bargained for.If you are using it for a site truck it won’t be as bad,but if you are going to be pounding down the highway all day you better be prepared to be under it quite often. It’s tough to crave out a living with a new truck let alone a 25 plus year old truck.Down here in Philadelphia the going rate for a triaxle is around $90.00 hr.Do the math.Driver going to cost $20-25 or more hour, insurance $7500 year, tires.I was going to buy a new Mack $190,000 plus put it in my daughter name for the minority business. Now mind you I have all the connections so the truck will work,I did the math and it doesn’t work.Sorry if I piss in your cheerio’s but you know all the facts.
  19. I am going next week to look at 4 b models that are going to scrap. Will check them out and get pictures.
  20. I am going next week to look at 4 b models that the owner wants gone, like in scrap.I think one is a single axle tractor, one is set up as a water truck tandem, one as a tandem dump, the last I think is a tandem tractor.I believe them to be all b61’s.One owner, don’t know if they run, they did run when they were parked.I will be looking to see if they have power steering which I think they may have, anything else you may want me to check on?Can anyone put me in touch with Kevin All I see his name a lot when people are talking about parts. Will get pictures.
  21. Give me a call 21five 669 one two52,talked to my son.
  22. I will ask my son to keep his eyes open,Will let you know.
  23. I’ve been in the construction business all my life,it was a family thing.Just remember dump trucks go past the curb.Once they leave the blacktop school out.By that I mean it not a smooth ride anymore. All the twisting and bending start. We had 15 79 dm600 triaxles that were built like brick shit houses never had a problem but we spec them the way we wanted.Check the frames and cross members for any cracking and splitting. As long as the motor does have excess blow by just run it.You can always do a rebuild before you put it to work.Just my 2 cents worth.I would not look at anything other then a Mack.My son sell used trucks for the the local Mack dealer here in Philadelphia,Pa.Where are you at,will tell him to keep a lookout.
