  1. I have taken to trying to take my original gauges apart. The bezels weren't that bad to undo.I had to do this to cleanup the faces of the gauges. Will post some pics when I'm done.
  2. That is just how i removed the cab off my B87.Using a 4x4 through the open doors and used my chain hoist.Double check even triple check that you have everything removed, disconnected from the dash.Tack cable, speedo cable, oil pressure line, air line, shutoff cable.Good Luck.
  3. Joey, you should ABC construction, they are located in Bensalem. You would want to talk to Mike Nuggent he is the owner.Good luck
  4. I know of this company that has these trucks.Family owned has been around a long time.Always see the trucks around town.If I not mistaken they are kept in the shed. Our own company was the benchmark when it came to maintaining our equipment,we were doing cat certified rebuild long before cat started.I guess that why when we decided to get out, our 35 year old D9 tractors were one of the first to go..The point I m trying to make is that this company has a excellent reputation for maintaining their equipment.
  5. I take the R model out quite a bit in the better weather.I've even taken it to the supermarket for a few things, ams out one time and a fellow was taking all sorts of pic of it.
  6. MackMhe9,did you pick that B81 up in Philly? If you did what did you think of the B87,Rmodel,56ford in the shop?We owned the b87 since new and the r model we got in 79 that only has 73,000 miles on it,the 56 ford i brought back from Montana.
  7. I have had my eyes open for new ones, but have had no luck.Think I'm just going to put the old ones back in and if I come across new or better then i have will replace them.
  8. I have a question for you fellows that have alot more knowledge then I.Can the chrome rings on the gauges of the B models be removed to be rechrome? Thanks Mike
  9. Thanks for all the help.It not that all that bad once you get started.Doing one wire at a time.I redid my 56 Ford f600 for starters.
  10. I am doing it wire by wire.Much cheaper.
  11. It appears that all the access. run through the light switch.
  12. I am in the stage of rewiring the B87,and i have a question.Does all the power run through the headlight switch.Looking at the wiring diagram that Barry has posted here it looks like everything is tired into the light switch. If i was to post a pic of my old wiring diagram you would all think that you were looking at a box of spaghetti dumped out on the floor.I have more wires that don't go to anywheres, then wires that do something. Thanks in advance for any help.
  13. When i was young and single hunting season was a year round thing.
  14. I got a quote on buying leasing 25 of the Cat trucks.Myself and my 2 brothers were bidding on a contract for one of the big oil companies in the natural gas here in Pa.I priced Cat,Mack,Petes.Cat and Mack were the better priced trucks. The problem we ran into was the contract was only going to be good for a year.Mack didn't want to do a year lease.Cleveland Bros, the Cat dealer we had dealt with in the past and they went to bat for us to Cat.They would of given us the one year lease if we got the contract which we didn't so the deal is dead.
  15. Congrats, like said the fun starts now. That is all the paperwork that will be needed every time you get pulled into a weigh station.Pretty soon you will have to log in the last time you farted.
  16. The experiment has failed,Obama.
  17. I love to see a Mack under a lowboy.
  18. farmer52,friend of mine still has his JD 110 that he brought new back in i think in 66.
  19. philatruck,i'msure i asked you this before but who do yo work for?And yes Buckley is using our old yard as a staging area for that job.
  20. Thanks,i like to take it out for some runs. Was coming back from work.I'm running some machines for Buckley,on north Delaware Ave.When I get done with my b87 I'ld like to make a pickup from a single axle b model tractor.
  21. I will have to think of who I'ld use.My next project,I want to build a pickup truck using a single axle b model tractor.I am thinking of swapping out the motor and replacing it with a small cummins. Then I will build the bed.
  22. Who are you going to paint the truck?I like the battery box, they did a nice job.
  23. Made a mistake,3rd sentence should have ended, like we just attended.
  24. I was thinking about the post I made about the great show and what a super day weather wise it was.I have been to 100's of car shows, tractor shows, and truck shows over the years, and I have traveled all over this country to attend these shows. There is one thing that they all have in common, that being all the volunteers it take to put a show like the one we just did.You didn't have to look very far and you would see someone from the Mack Museum. So not to be long winded here I would like to thank Doug and all the other people that help put on the show.It was truely the best show I have attended,so again THANK YOU.Looking forward to next year.
  25. Great pictures,thanks for sharing.
