  5. Nice tractor,we had 15 of those DM's dumps the only thing I hated about them were that you would bounce your balls off when they were empty. As long as you kept the oil changed the motor run forever.
  6. I have both of my trucks with antique tags, one time fee.Ins. cost me about 300 for both. You don't need a cdl if you have the antique tags. The only thing you can't do is make money with them, once you have the antique tags.I am able to pull a trailer which i hope to do one of these days.
  7. Over the years we did a lot of work at both Bethlehem steel and US Steel in Fairless Hills,PA outside of Philly. The last job we did at US Steel was back around 1990,we had to cap a tar pit.At the same time they had sold one of their blast furnace to China.Every morning they would pile off the ship and take the plant down by hand and load it onto the boat. Most of that plant in now a landfill.FWD bit of local news, our home town of Huntingdon Valley now has it first WAWA.Firetruck looks great.
  8. Very nice looking truck, would love to have it.Whats the weight rating of the truck. What's the price?
  9. Thanks for posting, great video.Wonder if any of those truck are still around.
  10. I have only one problem with your shop, not having water I can handle that. But if built that I'ld have to have a space for the bed.You all know sooner or later we get ourselves in the dog house, with a dog house like you built I wouldn't mind being in the dog house.Come to think of it I'ld do more stupid things just to get sent out to the dog house.
  11. That was our tractor.I can remember when ever we would have a heavy load on it and had to come to stop on a hill the fan would hit the shroud. The truck was original ordered by a fellow that was going to use it as a tri-axle dump in north NJ.I'm sure by now if it still on the road the frame has to have some crack in it.
  12. The name of the restaurant is the Empireal Princess,it in Chinatown. If you go make sure you are both starving they will serve you more food then you will ever eat.Have a great trip.Stay safe.

  15. If I throughout you would have the time I'ld give you a name of a great chinese restaurant in San Fran.If you do make it to Fishermen Wharf there is a good place to eat at.
  16. Been to San Fran many times before, sorry to say I don't think you will be leaving the airport.By the time you get a cab to get into the city it will be time to find the same cab for the return trip.
  17. Will call them on Tuesday, thanks.
  18. That DM of High Point may be one of our old DM tractors.I was told they had brought it,and converted it into a wrecker.
  19. Welcome back Randy. If your health isn't up to par don't be the dumb ass that I was and wait.I waited a year and ended up having half my colen removed, not fun.Good Luck

  21. The excavator is a Koening 1166,and the tractor is a Komatsu 455.The beam trailer is a 75 ton cap.I think it's still working up in NY state.
  22. Maybe we can all meet up on Saturday.I'ld like to put faces with names.
  23. I guess they needed tires for another truck.Back here in Philly them trucks look better then some of the crap we see pulling containers around town.
  24. I would need one to use as a patten.
  25. As most of you may already know that I'm restoring my 1964 B87.This truck has been in our family since new.I started out with a rust free cab,the truck was stored inside most nights. We replaced some of the floor panels back in the 70's.Don't ask me why but instead of going to Mack and buying the panels we made our own,out of 1/4" steel.I cut out all of that and replace it.I am looking for the panel that is on the driver side right in front of the driver seat. The B80's had a step down in the floor not found on the other B models. You can call me at 215-669-1252 Thanks Mike Durkin
