  5. Would have loved to make it but since I came out of retirement to help out a friend haven't had much time to work on the B87.Was in the shop by 7 this morning getting the cab ready for paint, will be back at it in the morning by 6 I hope. Will have the truck ready for next year.
  6. We had one of the first 983's here in PA.Wasn't the best loader we had,it was always overheating, and the ass end was a little light. We all heated the first one dd went out and traded it in on another one.The best track loader we had over the years were the Komatsu D155S,it had a 6 and half yard bucket and all the balls you needed.
  7. Congrats,I just passed 30 years.
  8. Did the same over my moms house, just hook the old R model to them and that was it.Neighors throughout I was nuts.I told them go big or go home.
  9. I really don't use it much anymore. It would make someone a great work truck. The hyd. tank is on the right side. I will have to look at the frame and let you know.
  10. I have been thinking about selling my 79 r model for quite some time and have decided to leave someone else have fun with her.My family brought it new in 79 alone with 19 others. It has 169"wb,endt676-300 series with 285hp,TRXL107 lowhold 5 speed Maxi trans, rear mounted pto,12,000 front,38,000 rears,4.17 rear ratio. It was repainted 4 years ago and has been garaged kept ever since. It has only 72,000 orignal miles and is excellent shape. If I was looking for a truck that I could drive everyday and pull a trailer this would be the one.We used it to pull a dump trailer. It has retreads on the rears that are in excellent condition.I am asking $18,500 obo.Lets talk. You can reach me at 215-669-1252.
  11. Clean up in the crack asile.
  12. Mike,I was looking for the front clip of a B model. If you were to place a string linestraight down from the back of the radiator throught the fenders that what I'm looking for.Want to make a wall peice for the shop.
  13. Mike, well is anything for sale.Save me a trip up.What the front of the blue B model look like.
  14. Mark,I may be interested also. Was that the shop on Rt 40 off of 55.If it was I remember that shop from 25-30 years ago.I love taking the back roads to the shore, you would be shock at what you may find weekend to weekend.
  15. That was what I was told also.My friend needed a motor for a F model Mack and Jack droped off the whole truck at my friend's place, all he had to do was take the motor out and bring the truck back up to Jack.
  16. I will check the last and only bone yard here in Philly and see if that aircleaner is on one of these truck on Saturday.
  17. I have some info about this place. It was where a fellow by the name of Jack Jones would park his stuff years back.Jack has since past.I don't know if he owned the property. One of my old drivers from that area has been there. He said if I come up to his place he will take to it.I may take him up on the offer either Monday or Tuesday suppose to be a wet one here,so I will have the time to kill.
  18. I think it is just south of the tunnel on the right side going north.I have passed there 1000's of times,it been awhile since i've been up there but I think it was all clean out then.
  19. Congrats,glad everything went well.
  20. Mike is that the one right before you get to the Lehigh tunnel on the right side as you go north.
  21. I have seen this truck up close,it's been in my shop all winter.I must say if someone is looking for a good running truck that doesn't need a whole lot of Big $$$ dump into it this is the truck you want.It was driven down to my shop on it own power and ran fine. You can drive it to your next show as it is now or you can clean it up some.Frame is very straight and not bowed out like most are.
  22. Looks great, hope my B87 comes out as nice. Will be doing mine all red, since that was our company color and that how it left the factory.
  23. That the million dollar ? If it 's as clean as it looks you can expect to pay alittle more for it.These smaller truck are sometimes more $ because I would rather have one of them instead of say a Ford F550 or a 650.The Mack is built for what you will be using it for.Keep up on the maintenance and you will be surprize with how long it will last.
  24. Looks nice and clean, would check over the frame real close.Since it has a plow on it ,it may also had a salt spreader on the back that would have rotted everythind back there. We had 15 DM600 that had both plows and spreaders and we would wash them down after every snow storm because of the salt.It looks like they have 2 of them, the other one doesn't have the plow,it may be the better of the 2.Plows can be a bit rough on the front end.Good Luck.
