I know I haven’t posted anything in a while, been looking for a building to buy or rent to put the old girl in out of the weather. Finally found a place to rent not as big as I wanted but what’s the old saying beggars can’t be picky. It 50 x 30 so I will have room for the b and r models.Wanted to get the b in the building this weekend but after I signed the lease the owner tells me the following day that I need to get a use and occupancy permit from the township. They want everything but my first born,4 page application. Will post some pictures later. -
Other Dog,your carport looks great.Do you have the name of the manufacturer of it?I been thinking of getting one,the one I’ve been looking at is made by VerstaTube I think that’s the spelling.one like yours is $2000-2500.

The next president must restore our faith in America

I think if the right person doesn’t get into the White House then we may be looking at civil war. This one will have nothing to do with race, but it will be the have vs the have not.How long can we survive as a middle class is if we bear the weight of everyone on our shoulders. We can’t keep paying for everything.Just my 2 cents worth. -
Large radiator tank
hicrop10 replied to hicrop10's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Tks Matt,I’m restoring my b87 and was just wondering if anyone else has this tank.I haven’t seen any other trucks like mine,I’m thinking they were more or less specialized.Built as ordered.I have all the paper work for the truck since dad brought it new. There is nothing mention on any of the paperwork that’s mentions the larger tank,it does have a 335 Cummins. -
Does anyone else have this large top radiator tank? My truck is a 1964 B873sx,with a 335 Cummins in it.

Didn’t get much done this weekend.I did order some of the POR 15 products to do the underside of the cab and I will use it on the inside if cab also.I will get all the work that needs to be done to the underside done before I flip it back over.Going to spray the bottom with a coat or 2 of paint on top of the por 15 with a coat of clear. -

Took the old girl out for a quick spin(kinda).Pushed her out in the sunlight, looking to lay her back on the backside of cab much easier to get to the underside of cab. -

Is there any difference between the B80’s and the B60’s cabs other then the lip under the drivers seat of the B80’s.My reason for asking is the two panels that I have the sanding disc on are not original, but they do work so I will most likely leave them in.If someone out there would have a cab for a B80 series laying around I would like to get a look at it. -

When you can’t work construction due to rain you can always tell the boss you won’t be in have some real work to be done. Here’s a couple of before and after shot. -
How did it get there? I know when I was moving big equipment for our construction business the largest off road truck you could move without having to really jump through hoops was the Cat 777.You did have to remove the body and wheels and tires and you were off to the races. Now the Cat 773’s all you had to remove were the front tires to get it down for the height.Isee no reason why it can’t be moved out of there on a beam trailer.Take the wheels and tires off you solve the height issues and you have taken some good weight off of it.If you are still to heavy I would remove the rear axle.
