  1. xdudebrahx, that old r model water truck you have looks like one of our old fuel trucks.I saw it to a fellow from Newark he also took the 3 r model dumps we had.Where is that water truck kept at.
  2. Welcome to the dog house, need pictures.
  3. I have a 79 R model tractor that has only 70,000 orignal miles on it.We have owned it since new.Looking at your truck it loks like it was well kept.I would look over the frame and make sure there are no bad cracks,or any other issues. The motor and trans well they are what they are without having to go through them.My truck has 38,000 lbs rears and we used it with the other 19 of them to pull dump trailers. The truck that I kept out of the bunch,I took a load over to the landfill in NJ that weighed in at 113,000.They were all loaded in the 80,000 to 90,000 everyday except on Saturday then we wouldn't leave them leave the scale unless they were in the range of 95,000 to 105,000.We never had any issues with the trans or rears. You are thinking about now what the hell we were hauling. We had a sewer plant job for the city of Phila.and we had to haul a million and a half yds of waste to the landfills of Nj.We were getting about 12-15 overweight tickets aday.Saturday would make up for the other 5 days.We were running 30 of our own TT,along with 100-125 owner opertors.
  4. Welcome to the dog house,I have a B873sx that has been in the family since new.
  5. Welcome to the dog house.
  6. Good luck with your move, where the new home base going to be.
  7. What can I say thats hasn't already been said other then most of us most likely would like to be 14 again and know what we know now.Happy Birthday Vinny
  8. If you were counting there were atleast 7 of those dipshit with road transpost tee-shirts on.I'ld invest more in loading skill then buying everyone tee-shirts.Also if you noticed none of those dipshit that were wearing the tee-shirts were telling the forklift operator on what to do.I think that night they all gather around the campfire and had themselves a good old circle jerk.
  9. Just got home with my wife from visiting our son at college. He's out in Emmitsburg MD at Mount Saint Marys.Had snow all the way home.Rt 15 wasn't that bad, but the PA Pike was the worse I have ever seen it.It was really bad from Downingtown to the Philly exit where I got off.Seen alot of plows in the up position when they should have been plowing. Here at the house we have a good 2".Can't wait for spring.
  10. Can't think of what size grill I would have to to use that tank.
  11. They may be from a company called Hawbaker i think.
  12. Hell in Philly thats not considered a problem. One of our triaxles took the whole damm sign down,on rt 1 one night.I walked a Cat D8 up the road about 5 miles from the yard and pushed it off too the side of the roadway and then came back to the yard with it and no one was the wiser. .We reported it to Penndot and if I remember right that was all that came of it.
  13. I can remember seeing that DM when we did work in that plant.I think they used to park it alot right next to the building that the war department still has. That was where most of the gun barrels for all of the ships came from.As far as i know that building is still open.
  14. I had the same problem Randy,in my shed where I have the cab from the B87.I have a propane heater in there and I hang a electric fan from the ceiling to force the hot air down.I was able to use spray bombs when it was in the single digets.I will try opening the door on Sunday.Won't be able to do much just came home from the hospital this morning, had my 3rd and final stomach surgery. Can't lift any thing more then 5lbs and can't drive for a week.
  15. Could not have been put any better Paul. The point I can't stand is that all of these nations that we give unthinkable amount of money and military help always vote against the US in the United Nations.
  16. I remember there was a company called Granite State Collectables, they were based out of NH.I had brought some custom First Gear trucks from the gentlemen. His prices were not all that bad for the work he did.I don't think they are still around, maybe someone on this bb knows of them.
  17. I think that Barry and the fellows at Watts are doing super job.I belong to antique equipment forum and they have ban some people from using the bb.I like the fact that everyone controls the wording of the responces, and I think that is due to the fact that we all are a pack of nuts that just love Mack trucks. If you are looking for an answer to a problem with your truck you have come to the right place.
  18. We had brought stone from Propples back in the 90's for a sears warehouse we did up in Ashley.

    WHY?

Remember in the start of each show they say these are some of their TOP shippers.I can only think what their less then top shippers must do.I had acouple of shippers park their trucks in my yard.I would some time walk over and see what they were hauling, some of them may have used duck tape to chain down the loads.
  23. Rudy, there was a truck like what your talking about down here in Philly sometime ago.It was owned by ABC Construction out of Bensalem PA.We had owned that truck at one time,it was one of our lube truck that we had.
  24. You have a keen eye there Maddog.
