  1. I will dig some out tonight.
  2. I was told some time ago that there was a town in Japan that was called US.That why so many things were labled made in the US.Just the wrong US.
  3. The teeth on our bucket were much larger the the D9 ripper teeth. It would take over an hour to change them. The only problem we had with the 5110 was being able to keep enough trucks under it.
  4. Heres the pic of ours.It would take 6 trailer to move and a 50 ton crane on both ends to take apart and put back togather and 3 days of work.
  5. I have been meaning to post this picture of the last excavator we had.It was a Cat 5110 that had a 10yd bucket that I enlarged to a 13 yd.The best we ever did we it was 463 loads in a 10 hr day.We always tried to hit the 500 load mark but couldn't quite make it.At 463 it moved 18,500 yds that day. This was the only machine that I ever saw that if you looked at it in the morning and then after it quit for the day there was a real chunk of ground that was gone.
  6. Joe,i have repainted the frame and should be there on MOnday.Give me a call first.Would like to have a rolling frame by Wednesday. Then i will roll it out of shop and take some pic of it.
  7. As I am restoring my 1964 Mack B87 tractor that has been in the family since new,I have notice something that you don't see a whole lot anymore. That is made iin the USA stamped on everything.I was painting the wheels and that where i really found this.Everything on this truck was made in the USA.Make me proud to be an American.Land of the free and home of the brave.Just my 2 cents worth.
  8. Superdog,I would like to get the 4-B87,oval front emblem for the B80 series from you.Let me know what I owe you. Thanks Mike Durkin
  9. Looks great Heavyhauler,keep them coming.Thanks
  10. I just got a quote for 15 brand new Cat tri-axles with J&J 18' steel bodies on them.Price is $176,000 each.I am still waiting for Mack to get me a quote.I have asked both dealers to get me a quote for out right buy them and also for a 12.24,36 month lease. On my bid that I'm working up for a customer the contract may only be for 1 year,so leaseing them will be the right route. There will be no up front cost for the leaseing comparing to buying used trucks, also I will have no maintenance cost.If I go the route of used trucks I will have them checked out from asshole to appetite
  11. To bad you're so far away,I let you paint my 64 B87 for me.On the glovebox hinges I will check my junk yard source and let you know. Most likely I can get you a set.Should be going there on Saturday.Truck looks great..Mike
  12. Thanks fellows,Mike
  13. I throught about that, just reblasting. But then I would have to put the tires back on and drag it to the blaster. It will be all scruff up by Friday night.Won't be doing anything on Thuresday will be going to Oil City,PA to look over some work me and my brothers are looking at to bid.
  14. i spent the day lightly scuffing the frame,I used a red scuff pad and man do my fingers hurt like hell.I will never again do this, live and learn.I will be doing the frame over on Friday with a single stage I have had very good luck with it in the past doing my old Caterpillars tractors. Will post some pic after Friday.
  15. When I f up I f up.I painted the frame of the b87 yesterday, thinking i was using a single stage paint.I have looked over so many different shades of red and different brands, I forgot what I had ordered.Well I was using a basecoat clear coat.I was doing great until I found out that I didn't have any clear coat.Well it's as dull as it can get.I will be calling the maker (Kirker paint) on Tuesday to see what I should do.I'm thinking that I will have to scruff it up and then put the clear over it.I think what I would like to do is to use a single stage over the basecoat rather than the clear coat.I have had good luck using the single stage paint in the past.
  16. What shade of red paint did you use on the frame it looks great.I've been waiting for the red paint that I ordered to come in so I can start to paint my B87.
  17. My 1979 R model weighs in at 17500 with a half a tank of fuel.Had it out for a spin last week and was going by the stone quarry throught I 'ld have it weighed.

  21. Paul,I will be going back this week.I know he has a tank for you,it was in the body that where we got the other tank from.I think there was 2-3 pass. tanks in there.the brackets I don't know about,if my friend take that one complete truck that has the tank and brackets on it i think. He doesn't have any other b81 parts there. Will let you know how I make out.My # is 215-669-1252
