  1. I have the small Du-plex 67 series in my B-67.Joe D.
  2. It came out nice like from the factory.Nice colors. Why are some sticks further back than others in B-Models ? I have a B-67 sticks come straight up from floor,I saw others they sit back about 8".Are there different top covers ? I am just wondering. Thanks Joe D.
  3. There in "Orbit" and refuse to come back down to earth. Joe D.
  4. Hello back at you. Joe D.
  5. 1958F.W.D. You could put 9:00-20 rubber on it or new metric size equilavent would most likely lower it by 3".Let some air out of tires. Joe D.
  6. I think fuel gauge needs to be looked at also. Joe D.
  7. Thanks Jim. It looked like L-Cab but what looked like single windshield and cab was a bit different I could not make it out.Joe D.
  8. Definitely not a "Cookie Cutter". It is running 2200RPM with the key off,I"ll bet she will really roll once off the trailer. Good Luck. Joe D.
  9. It makes it nice that Jersey still has the Constructor Plate. 70,000 on a tandem no axle weights gross only.Jersey works with the construction industry unlike some other states that you need a tandem and 4 lift axles to haul 71,000 lbs. How about the Western States you need a stinger on a tandem dump to gross about 60,000 not sure of weight though. I cannot imagine dumping in paver or milling with one of those Albatrosses on your truck. All nice pictures. Joe D.
  10. Nice picture. When that KW was built in early 50'S ??? a 220 Cummins was a good sized engine. It looks like a 4" stack so most likely no turbo or 262 HP.Big rubber and gears made that truck. Do you know what model next to it is with one piece windshield ? Thanks Joe D.
  11. I met Dr. Bill Comcovitch at Syracuse ATHS Show. Nice man as everyone said about him. He encouraged anyone to climb in and check out his trucks. Joe D.
  12. Ken Where would you ever find that kind of replacement bolts.I imagine just put regular SAE bolts back in. Joe D.
  13. I do not think you will be using double over much loaded with 100,000 lbs.with a E6 300. It is a great engine but I think you are looking for performance that will not be there with that drivetrain.Joe D.
  14. Ernie is the 465 Mack Motor the Scania ? I think Mack had a 465 they put in B-Models,I do not think it was the Scania. The MB Packer my friend had was not fast either 44,000 rears also but geared low for going into landfills. There are a lot of steep hills in my area with a stop sign at the top. Joe D.
  15. When I had the same problem on a F-Model with a 300 it was the oil cooler. You will have to clean out the cooling system also. I think I used dishwashing powder it was 25 years ago so I hope Glenn Akers checks in to verify. Good Luck Joe D.
  16. Thanks Jim and Tom. I am in Florida now and will be heading up. I thought it would be worthwhile to visit. Joe D.
  17. Could anyone post information for Keystone Tractor Museum. Address, hours and days of operation ? Is it open to general public ? I think BigDoGTrucker posted some information about a truck junkyard in Georgia, does anyone have an address of such yard ? Thanks in advance. Joe D.
  18. Fred Thanks for the info. Is there a Host Hotel they will be using ? If so could you post name and contact #,rate? Thanks Joe D.
  19. If anyone buys a Ford CL 9000 try to find one without the air-ride cab option. My Brother and I bought one in 1979. It was not a bad truck except for the air-ride cab option.Every week it would come in listing to one side or the other. I did not like the way when going into a turn it leaned. We bought several air suspended trucks since then but I did not drive them as I like spring or Hendrickson Haulmax. I know get with the program but I am an old fossil. Joe D.
  20. There was a truck driver version of the song "Wreck of Ole 97" it was "Wreck of The Old Slow Binder" by Dave Dudley. It was great also. I used to find it on UTube but it does not come up anymore. I have the album somewhere with a KW COE on the cover. Joe D.
  21. Its your truck to do as you please with. I think by selling parts off of it will make it harder to sell for your asking price. You are reducing it to parts truck only not a complete running unit. Just my opinion good luck either way. Joe D.
  22. 84superdog Does your MB have the duplex and 673.? The few Overnite MB's I saw had that setup. I know they were duplex not sure if 673 or Scania.A friend of mine had a MB Tandem with 25 yard packer Quadbox and 673. He loved it. Good Luck. Nice to see a different model saved. Joe D.
  23. It seems like heavy front axles come thru quite a bit with wedge brakes. My 2 Brockways one 16,000 one 20 000 IH Paystar (sold) had 16,000 and 2 Autocars both 20,000 had wedgies on front. Does anyone have reason why heavy axles have wedgies on front axle ? Thanks Joe D.
  24. Nice. Are you bringing it to Cortland? Joe D.
