  1. Mark Nice picture. I think that Autocar Model was designated U- Model Thats the heaviest one I ever saw with the big rubber and tandem. Suicide doors look wild. There was a Father and Son from Pittsburg area that had a nice Uautocar with mixer on back single axle. They btought it to Macungie a few times. Joe D.
  2. other dog I have a GMC D-860 like the blue one you have pictured. It has a General Motors 6-71 (pre Detroit Diesel). I cannot post pictures if you want i could send you one.Not the best picture taker but not many of the D-860'S around. It is not restored but is complete. I bought a set of Rockwell cut-offs last year on Hendrickson Walking Beam 5.29 ratio on 22" rubber. I have a Spicer 4 speed auxiliary I will put in it if I ever get off my dead a$$. Joe D.
  3. Make sure you have enough overhang so material dumps far enough into paver. If not you will be putting a spreader plate on.On PTO I would get the married style instead of the model withshort short shaft. That is just my personal preference.Joe D.
  4. My 1962 B-67T has a 673P engine with a TRD 670 Duplex on 22" rubber. Most of the B-67'S I ever saw were not speced heavy as they were made for highway use. There was a B-67 tandem dump for sale in my area a few years ago that had a Quadbox it must have been put in by owner as spec sheets I have do not list a quadbox as an option. I saw a b-67 on craigslist today in upstate NY or New England concave cab.Nice picture of tandem B-67 as most I ever saw were single axle. Joe D.

  7. Nice picture Al.I remember most factory sleeper trucks from 1950'S were single axle with tag. This is how it was in the East as I remember.It was not until the 1960'S that weight laws were changing and live tandems got popular.The West Coast was a different ball game.Thanks Joe D.

  10. In Penna. now a tri-axle is 73,280. I think a tandem is 56,000 or 58,000. Pa. is just starting to enforce the Bridge Law. I worked in New Jersey for years it was 80,000 on tri-axle 56,000 on tandem 70,000 on tandem with Constructor Plates with no axle weights if truck had proper axles and tires. Joe D.

  12. That's why they were called " High Binders".Beautiful trucks but must have been a nightmare to work on with non tilting cab. About like the W-71 Mack, GMC Cannonball,early Pete COES,KW Bullnoses. I am sure the list goes on. Joe D.
  13. I have 4 wheel lock up on my dump. It works well just have to make gradual turns when locked in. Joe D.

  15. I have Hendrickson HN on my Western Star 2005 tri-axle dump. It is 46,000, 4.56 ratio 24.5 tall rubber. We do mostly asphalt work for Penna. State. a lot of high crowned steep twisting roads. It is about maintaince free as I ran mine since 2005 with no issues or repairs so far. It rides fairly well empty and when dumping on high pitched road does not lean. Driving loaded on twisting roads it does not lean like air ride. Do not confuse the newer HN with the old rubber block Hendrickson that rode like a 2X4 down the road.I had spring walking beam Hendrickson and 44,000 Mack Camelback. I prefer the HN in my opinion. Look at Wasre Management garbage trucks all of them in my area use the HN. And they count pennies. All are good but I prefer the HN with 4 rubber blocks mounted at an angle. Joe D.

  17. When I said I ordered the 1/4" gate I want to say that the heavier gate is not necessary with the hi-lift gate as when lifted nothing will hit it. Joe D.
  18. Bibeau,Beaurock and Brandon are all similar bodies as I was told Beaurock and Brandon are spinoffs from Bibeau.Different family members spun them off. I have Brandon hi-tensile with 3/16" floor and 1/8" sides it works well with rip rap and table tops(concrete cut offs). I ordered the 1/4" gate I would not do again because of extra weight. If you order the hi-lift gate it is definitely not necessary. A feature Bibeau has is on gate hinges they have a triangle piece of metal to keep gate lined up if any wear in pins. Joe D.

  20. I cannot tell on rear but front have 20" hubs. Front hubs will fit either tube type 20" or tubeless 22.5". Joe d.
  21. Eastcoast you could get an original Big Horn if you have about $35,000.00 minimum laying around.Only about 260 produced but quite a few survivors. Joe D.

  23. Nice E-Model. I go to quite a few shows in the Northeast part of Country, not many E or A-Models to be seen.It looks like someone put a second stick in there like Speed had in his. Joe D.
  24. Al Boomtown in Nevada and the 49er in Sacramento were owned by same people I think. When I ran Coast if you did not have chains to go over Donner Pass you could rent them on one side and drop off on other.Nothing like the old time truck stops.Joe D.
  25. Do not plan to come work in Pa.,NJ,or most any Eastern States as they do not recognize more than one lift axle now. I am sure subject to change.I do know steerable lifts are going to become mandatory in future.Good luck whatever you decide.Joe D.
