  1. Speed whats the deal on restricted CDL ?
  2. As Lumpy's Father would say.His name is not Lumpy its Clarence Clarence Rutherford. Joe D.
  3. Paul I have it on my Freightliner COE with 6V-92. The Detroit would loose prime if it sat for a week or so. I put valves in lines to prevent it but that did not work. Anyway it is hooked up with power to give a metered shot of ether. It goes directly into intake pipe after air cleaner. They work well. Ether canisters for them are pricey though.N-Model with a Diesel great find. Joe D.
  4. Some never learn "Spoke Wheels Rule". Just my unbiased opinion.Joe D.
  5. That was at the Harford Fairgrounds,Harford,Penna. Northeast Pa. Chapter ATCA Show it was possibly taken in 2011 or 2012 as I do not remember it being there in 2013. Nice truck and colors. They have a good slow truck race usually some good competion.Joe D.
  6. Good one Larry. Jim since you picked the manual chain saw, my second choice will be the hydraulic nail unbender. This brightened up a dreary day looking at the snow outside. Joe D.
  7. Throw some flour on it and hit the wet spot. Joe D.
  8. Not much if any equipment at Macungie Show but great show for trucks. In October Gerhart's Show in Litidz,Pa. has trucks and working antique equipment. Another great show. Joe D.
  9. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Joe D.
  10. Mike if it was red I saw was on Ebay last week. I think it sold for $15,000.00 not sure Cab was cut down as was sleeper. Joe D.
  11. GG2 I did not realize you were chief cook and bottlewasher. I do not care for most site work usually too many loads on bad haul roads. Although last hourly job ( Site) was a sewer job a little messy but only 1 load of 1 ton in 6 hours. Joe D.
  12. Nice clean picture. If I ever tried to drive it I would look like I was trying to use a Chineese typewriter. Joe D.
  13. That is a LJ with the split windshield. Nice find.I doubt anyone made a toy truck in the A-Modelvariety. They just were not that popular or long production run. Joe D.
  14. Nice picture Tim. I was going to say where is the snow ? But then I saw green leaves on trees.I was putting the cart before the horse. Joe D.
  15. I looked in IH Truck Book by Frederick W. Crimson. It says ACO'S were made from 1957-64. Several different versions 48" ca, sleeper cab option, single axle, tandem axle, and 8X6 version with dual steering. From what I found gas pot powered only, no diesels that I saw.It said ACO'S were not accepted well by drivers for bad ride, noisy interior, and glare through lower windows from approaching automobiles. Joe D.
  16. Looks like Jim Moore's IH Sightliner from Virginia. Nice IH and a good man to talk to about trucks. Joe D.
  17. Farmer52 I do not like buying the 50-50 pre mixed coolant as it works out to be more expensive. Joe D.
  18. Mark nice picture. I had a 77 F-Model 300 5 speed tandem. It was a good truck cab was solid. While on the F-Model subject does anyone know why the F-Model was never made out of aluminum ? I know the Western F'S had some aluminum cab parts. It sure would have been nice if all aluminum. Joe D.
  19. Good deal for Rick Harper.Joe D.
  20. Red Horse and Ernie. I heard that same story and Daimler's version. If they want our engine they are forced to buy Freightliner,Western Star and at the time Sterling. Most likely a little truth to both sides.Joe D.
  21. PeterMack The yellow Dodge looks like it could have been a Ryder CarHauler. Ryder had a lot of car haul companies as M+G Convoy, commercial Carriers and a host of others. It looks right color and wheelbase to be a Stinger. Joe D.
  22. Larry do not even try to understand them When you think you do they will throw you a curve. Going on 37 years of wedded bliss for me.I would not want to live without them though. Joe D.
  23. I think their description of fleet maintaince was to keep shop and parts dept. busy. How about the drivers door is about twice as thick as passenger door. Fuel tank mounts are also specific to the 5000 only. Best description of a 5000 is "Wrap your ass in fiberglass".For those that do not realize whole cab is made of fiberglass.I had mine for sale with a few lookers but I think I might keep it.One of the most different looking trucks ever designed from any angle windshields, sleeper shorter than rest of cab. Joe D.
  24. Nice line up of trucks. I see a White 5000 at end of row. I have one pretty different to say the least. Joe D.
  25. It was nice of our politicians to pass the no idle law.Joe D.
