  1. 1947 Mack 75 Fire truck with gasoline engine, Is a lead additive required in the gasoline ? I have used it for years I was told recently not so if using a premium fuel. I thought it is required to lube the valves regardless of fuel grade. Any one have an idea on this topic?
  2. You guys are great! Thanks for the help.

  5. Hello All, I am representing the Tallmadge Historical Society (Tallmadge Ohio). We have a 1947 Mack model 75 Pumper, its in good condition for its age with a few problems. We use it as a parade vehicle. I'm hoping that I may use this forum to keep this rig running, so I'll be putting up some posts asking some tech questions as well as looking for parts. As soon as I can get a hold of a digital camera, I'm Gonna post some pictures for all to check out! Oh Yea, I only fix it because they let me drive it!!!
