  1. Power for the gauge comes from a circuit breaker...gets power when the ignition is on...guage is a variable resistor to ground.
  2. Rear plate is starting to come together....
  3. I need a good 95 gal fuel tank! Looks like that is what's on the blue one...also, I need a set of budd style hubs.drums...could work a deal to trade my daytons so you are not left with rears with no hubs!
  4. Thats the same on mine (4H to 5L)...on the downshift I kinda give the throttle a little blip (to unload to geartrain) just as I am flipping the switch..then qucikly increase the RPM to match and it goes right in to 5L with no issues... Might work on unloading the drivetrain with the throttle to help get it to (thru) nuetral quicker...or like others said, you might be downshifting early (higher speed) and jsut need more RPM to get it in... PS...I LOVE my 12-speed!
  5. Still run the dogs regularly!!
  6. Now that I have a shop...I've been busy buying stuff to fill it up...working on the trucks every now and then... ...had a small hobby machine shop back in the day...getting back into it... Bought a Mill... Gotta have a welder to build a trailer hitch for the SuperLiner... Superliner had her 25th birthday! Template for the hitch plate...gonna have it waterjet cut... Bought a Lathe last week!
  7. Didnt see the date...gues I did post it WAYYYYY back...guess bull mack is spambot or lurker....his last three replies to old posts are exactly the same...

  13. Ditto again on my 89 SuperLiner
  14. Only when they eat at the Y!
  15. Damn! Guess they are M16-2.0...would not hve thought my truck had any metric! Guess you learn something everyday!
  16. Working on the rear crossmember of the Superliner (working on the trailer hitch)...new nuts wont go on old bolts or vice-versa...tape and die wont repair...come to find out they are 5/8-13 thread...WTF...never heard of such a thing! Can't find any information...is this some Mack only thread?!? Anybody got anything?
  17. On my Superliner, I thought I had headlight and clearance lamp switch problems...all of these lights go thru the courtesy switch on the dash (if you have it), mine was just dirty, flipping it back and forth several time solved the problem!
  18. You can park it next to my 24 footer!
  19. I shot a few under the fender shots...looks to be an E-6 and yes, a Mack 12 spd! When it warms up I will ask to take a look at it further and a try to "dibs" on it if it ever comes up for sale!
  20. Why they were out...a trucker tried to off himself by setting his truck on fire at the truck stop down the road from me...there were about thirty fire trucks that responded!
  21. In use! If it was for sale, the title of the post would be "Look what I bought"!!!!
  22. How about the super cleava&e in the back seat!
  23. Looky whats been hiding right under my nose in my own town!
  24. Yeah, that was me...GVWR of the trailer I am going to pull is 4800#!!! I cant imagine even lifting and moving a 33 X 24 peice of 1 1/2 in thick piece of plate steel! Much less the size of welder and number of passes to weld the 1 1/2 plate! I am not going to pull a dozer! My stuff will be 3/8ths inch plate...braced (welded) behind with 1" square tubing (triangulated) for an effective thickness of 1" plus! (for all you engineering types)!...AND bolt on, tying in the strength of the rear crossmember! PS...come see how good a job I did at Macungie, or you have my permission to talk shit 'cause I was not able to bring the camper!
