  1. My pump went bad (actualy was just weak)..replaced it everything groovy...the time before I put new filters in, the truck would not get fuel until I pressurized the tank! If your pump is weak (not sealing completely) it is ver hard for it to pull fule thru both filters! Even with the new pump (without hand pump, my Mack dealer couldnt get one) I had to pritme the pump and work my way back thru the filters...I used air in the tank to get fuel to primary, seconday, then to pump...then she cranked right up!
  2. Nice! I just went thru "cobbing" up my duals...how about measuring the length and angles of all of the pieces...maybe we can get dynaflex or lincoln or someone to produce this...Mack wants $1100 just for the Y pipe!
  3. That is correct! The second stick was only for the front compund (deep reduction), later models had an air flipper on the dash...You could machine the rear comound shifter cover to add a linkage and put a third stick in! Then you could do a video like that peterworth guy did "grabbin three sticks!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lEYaTvvq4g&oq=shifting%20three%20sticks&gs_l=youtube..0.5j0.3863.7309.0.9701.21.20.0.1.1.0.213.2409.4j15j1.20.0.eytns%2Cpt%3D-30%2Cn%3D2%2Cui%3Dtl.1.0.0...1ac.1.11.youtube.sYJFGDzC4aE
  4. I needed some storage bins so I ventured down to WalMart about 4pm today...There were clusters of people clogging up entire rows...it seems that if you stood inline, the first x number of people could get wristbands to allow you to buy the first x number of x's at a presumably great price, when "Black Friday" started...at 6pm TODAY! WTF is wrong with people....hopefully, I wont have to go ANYWHERE tomorrow where any of thoses paramilitary shoppers are!
  5. Indeed on the cab, I thought all of the sleeper cabs were much wider in the back, this one looks like the "sleeper" area is the same width as the rest of the cab!
  6. I carry a small bar just for that! If I "round" the aux shift and don't work the fuel pedal to get the load off, she jumps to the "no shift" zone...parking brake on, flashers on, jump out, go around to pass side, open door, stand on the fuel tank, pull seat out, pull floor cover up, use the bar on the rails to shift the the trans back to low, replace the floor cover, bang the seat back into it's little tabs, run around and back into the drivers seat and viola! I remember the first time it happened, it was one of my first "emergency" questions to the forum! I dont do it very often anymore! I think I can fix it in less than a minute!
  7. Very Nice!! I know what you mean about the fresh air...didn't have have compressor moved to the new shop this morning, had to let it build air inside! The sun was shining bright, I HAD to go for a ride!
  8. Red is PERFECT! Good looking truck!
  9. F**&ING sleety rain is gonna keep me from hauling stuff tomorrow!...Toolboxes, table saw, drill press, compressors...I have lots of work to get done but cant! Dammit!

  12. Driving back from southern Ohio...I'll have to ask OD if he was on 70 west about 3:45 today! Saw a maroon KW with two mill rolls on it! Then, pulling up to a red light, I saw a Mack dealer with a sign that looked awfully familar!! I was right in front of Watts Mack! Now I know where New Alexandria is!
  13. I learned my lesson about snowy back roads!
  14. One more truck and I will get some stickers made up like yours! The Leslie Eversole Truck Collection And, I maynot even pant the B's cab and fenders...People call he 'Mater!!! Brown primer, faded black, and faded red are a good combination!
  15. My son and I will move my compressor and toolbox (an all day job!) next week. Might have to settle for a 225amp crackerbox for now...would like to try my hand and MIG...I was pretty good with TIG back in the day, aluminum too!

  17. Renting half of a big garage...plenty or room...gonna get some work done this winter!!! No more snow and no more rain! Trucks will be warm and dry!
  18. I have Valley Chrome getting me a quote...can't tell if the bumper is an 18 or 20...I used photoshop to copy the tow pin holes, lined em up on the bumper and it appears to be a 20"...That is why I'd like to talk to the owner...
  19. Dammit! Have I been cut off?!? I can't see them??????
