  3. Blew something out in my SelectAir valve (Mack 12 spd) this evening...made it home no problem, giant leak blowing out on the left hand side of the slot...still shifted to all positions, must be the supply.... Does Mack sell a rebuild kit or do I just take it apart and replace whatever looks broke? Thanks
  4. The video is cool! Sorry I missed out on it!
  5. Happy Birthday Denny!
  6. Away in Houston for 8 days, off to Cali for 5 more! I have a big box of _____________ for the Superliner, waiting for install as SOON AS I GET HOME! I remember now why I have travelling!

  8. How on the hell do you shift a 4 speed in the back of the bus?!? That must be a hell of a linkage!
  9. The main mounting plate is not flat on the back...it has about a 6 inch square of material sticking out 3/32nds...the outer flange would need the spacer even if it was not mounted to the fuel tank hanger...kind of a weird design...I am sure there is a reason...
  10. Check the battery voltage with the engine off, then check with engine ruinning, if generator is putting out, voltage will be higher with engine running...actual numebrs depend on a lot of variables....
  11. That's right...you know there is a B-61 wiring diagram on this site in the wiki...very helpful...
  12. Got the plant's 3/4 impact...a lot of heat and some serious impact action got them both! The whole reason for this was that the exhaust bracket was leaning out...instead of bending I took the thing off to find out why and found that the rust spreading was the culprit! At least now I KNOW why they stopped using the pass side fuel tank! Bracket broken, repaired, broken again...I guess they just figured it would be okay as long as they kept it empty!
  13. Negative comes from voltage regualtor and goes to light switch, postive goes to terminal black on firewall and eventually back to battery cable...you are measureing everything coming and going to the battery
  14. Not an E6 or 237...I get confused my self....
  15. T=turbo 675= cubic inches My page from the factory shows all T675-8W from 7914 thru 8336 the last four are probably sequence numbers...the first two must mean something about the accesories installed, because the 8W came in CF's, R's, U's DM's RL's, RD's, F's, and MB's My T675-8W8188 came out of a 1973 U model
  16. Going to try and and find a 1" drive 15/16 socket today...or an adapter! I'll borrow the torque adapter from work today, but I think it is 1" drive! The bolts in question are the ones that hold the exhaust bracket and fuel tank hanger! I got the back two off no problem, well, some problem, the front two aint budging with just cheater bars!
  17. 30 year old AMERICAN MADE S-K!
  18. It was the only source of ignition I had at the time, what would you use?
  19. If you had a Mack you would understand...
  20. I broke THAT yesterday!
  21. You must have been watching me!
  22. I believe level 4 has the bulldog embossed into the vinyl/leather...
  23. ...and bolts! Yes, it took two attempts to turn this ratchet into three parts...it was my favorite too! If I keep working on these old trucks, I am gonna have to look into a 3/4 inch torque multiplier! Anybody have any experience with one?
